Backstory

Remilo was born of two shoe-making wicks in Old Rose Harbor. Remilo was fascinated by magic, and at an early age his grandfather taught him magic and writing, and it fascinated him and he studied it as much as he could. At the age of twelve it was found that His parents were avoiding taxes, and were taken in the middle of the night by the Bad Brothers. Remilo hid using a Shroud spell. Their parents fought against their captors, but Remilo didn't see how it ended because the henchmen were returning, so he ran out of the back door, and never saw any of them again; all that he has to remember them by is 15 centimeter poniard with a blue handle, and an inscription on the blade which reads "Cott only for need" he now keeps this blade with him at all times.

Remilo went to work in a tavern near his parents shop, but never liked it, and always felt nauseous because of the combination of smells. Beer, vomit, urine, burnt meat, and garbage smell horrible together. After several months he left and joined a street gang and made his income by pickpocketing. At the age of 16 he bought a blue whice with a green lime shaped marking behind it's eye, and purple wings. Remilo named his whice Leafeye, for the green marking.

One day while hiking in the woods he found a caravan, he looked in the back but it was empty. He then went around the front and saw a skeleton with multiple cuts in the upper rib cage. Remilo realized that this man was probably killed by robbers, so he dug a pit and buried the man's remains. He inspected the caravan, and saw that it was beat up in a few places, but it was overall good. He returned to Old Rose, and bought a dark brown kenser, along with some goggles and a harness for it. He also bought some planks of wood, and got his toolbox out of the caravan he was sharing with another wick. He returned to the forest, fixed up the caravan, and hooked it up to the kenser, which he named Uni. He took all of his belongings from the other magic peddler's caravan and, at the age of 17, left the street gang, and started out on his own, as a peddler of small magics. He has since been semi-nomadic, traveling from town to town, but staying in those towns for long periods of time. He has been in Old Rose Harbor for the past three weeks.

Personality

Remilo feels that he is a simple wick, who was always willing to lend a hand. However he is a generally uncomfortable giving information to people unless he is close to them. He hasn't eaten meat in years, partially because he feels bad about killing the animals to eat them, and partially because he gets nauseous remembering the tavern both times he ate meat after that place. He is also fascinated by plants and fungus. He is very proud of his ability to read and write. He enjoys painting and playing the guitar as well.

Physical Description

Remilo has darker skin than than most wicks in Anaxas, but not nearly as dark as those from Mugroba. He has black dreadlocks about 50 centimeters long and about 2 centimeters thick, some of which are dyed either blue, green, or purple, the same shades as Leafeye's feathers. Remilo is very tall, almost two meters tall, and because of the long amounts of time that he swims, Remilo has a swimmers body. He also has a short black goatee, and several distinctive tattoos. Halfway between his right wrist and elbow he has a tattoo of three purple bars. In the center of his abdomen he has a symmetrical tattoo of a star, below his right eye he has a black tattoo of an isosceles triangle pointing down, and on his left shoulder he has a seemingly abstract black tattoo.

Although he wishes there was more racial equality, he feels that the freedom fighters are misguided in their direction, and will not join them.
