Vienda

  • Having met with several heads of state and secured his dominance over trade routes in the Vales, Silas Hawke makes plans to return to Old Rose Harbor, not aware that it's currently on fire.
  • A new sect of the Seventen and the Cadre, the Oculus, is forming in response to the resistance threat. It is led, not by Hanz Morde, but by the sinister Megiro and his confidant Alcarin.
  • Harper Moore and Abeline Ixbridge discovered evidence of a rift in the ley fabric of the world, an anomaly that seems to be collapsing the world slowly around it. The mona and life itself hang in the balance, and they must find the location of the rift to stop its spread before it's too late. Evidence that the rift is linked to passive diableries and the increased activity of ghosts is only complicating matters.
  • The brutal, unprovoked assault of of Seventen Ensign at the hands of two lower race men rocks the already fractured class relations in Vienda. The motivations are unknown, though popular opinion suspects Resistance ties. A high bounty has been placed on the capture of the men, though the civilians remain silent.
  • Though they resurfaced for a short time, both Harper Moore and Ophelia Servalis are, once again, missing in action, leaving Abeline Ixbridge to take matters concerning the Rift into her own hands.
  • The Soot Riots erupt through the city on Yaris 17th, following the replacement of local workers with cheaper, foreign labour at several factories. The riots extend from Soot to Uptown. There are reports of several lower race casualties and moderate to severe property damage.
  • The Resistance movement plans to bomb Seventen Headquarters, but the mastermind of the operation, Bartleby Gant (known also as Cabbages), is arrested before the plan can be carried out.
  • The arrest of Bartleby Gant for seemingly dubious reasons leads to further rioting and fires throughout Vienda on the night of Yaris 23rd. there are numerous casualties on both sides, and massive damage from both the fires and shots being fired at the glass of the Kingsway Dome.
  • Also on the 23rd, with the help of Emilio Sanguini, Abeline Ixbridge and Umberto Bassington-Smythe manage to observe and chart the effects of the Rift on the atmosphere in hopes of using this to pinpoint it's geographical location.

Old Rose

  • Elyisse from The Black Drake aeroship rained Magma down on Old Rose by the command of her unknown captain, for unknown reasons. Large parts of the harbor lit up like a matchstick, igniting mass panic and looting among its denizens. The attack came from the harbor, destroying most of West-and-Long, as well as large parts of Castle Hill and King's Court before finally coming to a halt.
  • After the fires, the Harbor town is slowly beginning to get back on it's feet.
  • The wick population in the city has grown exponentially following the banning of spokes from Vienda.
