Name: Dorr Udil
Age: 26
Race: Wick (Lost Moon)
Place of Origin: Northern Tors, Anaxas

Back story

Dorr was born on the day of the summer solstice of 2686 and was affectionately given the title “son of Ire.” His father, a traveling merchant from a distant wick tribe, did not linger to see his son born. Dorr was raised by his loving mother, Elessa, and his uncle Yosheb Udil. At a young age, Dorr exhibited great skill in horse mastery, and was apprenticed by one of the legendary Masters of Horse, Avin Archer. It was his first love, and he spent his youth herding and breaking in wild equine for the benefit of his tribe. He was also a champion at racing his peers on his fine white mare, Mira. But when it came to archery or hunting, he was lost.

Yosheb, the old story teller, managed to ignite in Dorr a passion for the world outside of his tribe and far beyond the Northern Tors, and he dreamed of one day becoming a traveling merchant, selling his fine mares to the faraway cities of Anaxas.

As Dorr matured, he was trained to sell the horses of his tribe, along with various arts and crafts, to travelers and wanderers. But his altruistic and loving nature made it difficult for him to stretch the truth and up-sell to potential customers. He couldn't bring himself to outright lie, which was a bad trait for a wick, especially a merchant. But a shortage of traders in the tribe assured him employment. His love for adventure grew with him and he still dreamed of traveling abroad one day, away from the safety of the tribe. That dream was within reach on his twenty second day of birth when he was asked by his Durg to become a traveling merchant for the tribe, to peddle horses and wares in far away cities. He was overjoyed.

Personality

Dorr cared little for the oppressive galdori rule that was spoken of in such contempt by the older men. Their iron fist barely affected the Lost Moon tribe so far into the Northern Tors. His mother, as caring as she was, would warn him that his passive attitude against the evils of the world would lead to his detriment. But Dorr was determined to live up to his title as a son of Ire. He was curious about the mona, and studied the Spokes Almanac every chance he got. He knew that his abilities were very limited, but he planned on using what magic he could in the aid of others. Dorr read many books in his spare time. He thirsted for knowledge. Dorr was proud of his heritage and memorized tales his uncle had told him so that one day he could pass them on to another generation.

Physical Description

Being a nomad of the Tors, his skin was windburned and tan. His hair was long and black, braided with strips of colored leather. His face was sharp and hawk-like, rough-skinned. A black tribal tattoo clawed its way up his neck and across his right cheek . His body was taut and sinewy. Being a horse trainer, Dorr was strong and capable of performing laborious tasks. He stayed clear of the colorful garb his peers dressed with, instead opting for the colors of nature, rough green-dyed cotton and dried brown leather. His main accessory was a leather whip he used to drove horses.
