Name: Mira Nai Delphinae (goes by Mira Nai or just Nai)
Age: 23 (Dentis 18th)
Race: galdor
Gender: female
Place of Origin: Vienda, Anaxas
Occupation: Unemployed Salt Heiress, Arguably A Brunnhold Graduate

Bio: Born to an Anaxi lawmaker and a Mugrobi socialite, Nai grew up sheltered, pampered, and surrounded by books. At age 10, she was admitted to Brunnhold where she studied physical and static magic and made nothing in the way of close friends over the course of 10 years. For most of her adolescence, Nai kept to herself unless she judged someone to be as weird as she was - and she considered herself quite strange. In reality, she was just a cross-ethnic child whose most charming qualities were telling the truth rudely and thinking far too highly of herself. What modicum of humility she learned to embody was taught to her by her first and only romantic classmate, a Mugrobi girl like herself who was far more interesting than her and several times less self-involved. The smallness of that modicum was why it didn't last. Even as she studied social subjects ranging from world history to diplomacy to Wick culture and language, she remained highly skilled at withholding empathy when it suited her. It was the onset of the revolution that helped her wise up to the folly in her trajectory.

When her final year at university climaxed with the assault on Brunnhold, she was among those students and faculty that summoned the mona to do the work of fending off the rebels - killing when necessary. It took just one reckless spell to part Nai from her left arm from the elbow down, and it merely took seven wicks to take her parents' estate and their lives. It was then that the young woman wished that any one had any justification at all to mollify her. As fortune would have it (quite literally fortune), not a week had passed before a small company of hired men, Mugrobi and Anaxi, had come to seize and smuggle her out of the now war-torn country (the humans and wicks among them paid off by her mother's family in the form of medical supplies and weapons). Distraught over her daughter's death, Bibi Ana Nai, widow and head of her expansive family's lucrative salt trade, now dotes over Nai like a replacement daughter: buying her a private dwelling in Nutmeg Hill, showering her with gifts, and deferring to her during her frequent visits to the estate. These days, the orphaned child of privilege spends most of her days sleeping far too long into the afternoons, listening to other people's conversations in the tea houses built by nutmeg, keeping (most) thoughts to herself, staring straight through people who attempt to speak to her, even as she responds (or even makes love to them), and practicing her spellcasting.

Personality: Nai is as incredibly quick to anger as she is judgmental and rude - only silently so. She spent most of her life being too eccentric for her own good and surrounded by the wealthiest and brightest Vita had to offer up to the elite sorcerer's academy in Anaxas. The past three years in Thul Ka had softened her conservative views on human and wick nature considerably, though she still firmly condemned the revolution back home. This was home now, too, and she was not eager to feel as alone as she had the night she lost both her parents and an arm; that would mean getting along with more types of people, even if she had to feign it at first. She still enjoys bragging about her education, her intermediate abilities with magic, and other advantages to anyone who hasn't heard, mostly to keep herself in good spirits. Spirits help her with that, too. Trysts with wicks had a similar effect until she'd done it enough for their exotic allure to wear thin.

Goals: Her current goal is to care about goals. A life wasted on leisure, worldly acquisitions, and illicit sex isn't as bad as people claim, yet Nai knows deep down that this is all a way to avoid dealing with what happened back in Anaxas three years ago. Back then she wanted to join the Seventen. She wanted to serve Anaxas and live a life of thrills, real adventure. Now she simply hoped to grow tired of being so useless.

Physical: Mira is of mixed Anaxi and Mugrobi descent, and it shows. Like most galdori, she has a small, lithe frame, but she is also exceptionally fit (5'6", 130 lbs). Her skin is tawny and mostly clear except for a spattering of freckles across her cheeks and the bridge of her nose, which is small and wide. Her yellow eyes are slanted and round, and her lips are relatively plump for an Anaxas woman. More distinctively, her hair is strawberry blonde and grows out in long, thick curls. Plentiful evidence of childhood (and schoolyard) injuries can be found on every single one of her remaining extremities. She generally wears a light-weight white shawl around her shoulders to obscure her flame-scarred left arm, sandals wrapped up to her knees, an array of colored sarongs around her hips, a white banded top over her chest, and gold coiled around her arms, neck, and hair.

Other Notes: Never leaves the home without her worn pair of purple-glass goggles, a notepad and pencil, or pockets full of concords
