Sarinah escaped from Tristaans sleepy embrace early that morning, wanting to get them both a decent meal before he woke. The man had been sleeping a lot, obviously drained and healing, needing the rest. She pulled on her black skirt and top, brushing her long black and red hair. Shaking it out and picking up her sai, she looked down at the sleeping man as she tucked them into her skirt. He was so peaceful like this. Smiling to herself, she left the camp, wandering around the stalls opening for breakfast. Bacon, eggs, pastries and onna-sticks, all these smells mingled together pleasantly. The dancer wasn't even sure what she wanted. She rested her hands on her hips, looking around in a small circle, thinking.

Leon was walking around the wick festival early, he always woke up early. All his senses were at work, every thing seemed so crisp. He could feel the bugs crawling around his feet, he smelled the breakfest being cooked, there was an odd taste in as if he can taste the air, He could hear the wicks waking up, and he could see one of the most beautiful women he had ever saw right in front of him. He saw a women with richraven colored hair with red streaks through it, she wore a very skimpy outfit that Leon thought the most beautiful thing in the world.

"Hesta, my lady you look very olio, may i buy you breakfast."

Sarinah turned her head, hands still on hips, surprised by the peculiar greeting. She turned slightly and laughed.

"Well, it's been a few weeks since a stranger called me olio as a greeting. Thank you, but I have to decline. I am actually out here to buy breakfast for my kov. He's still asleep. But I can't decide on anything." She pursed her lips, looking at the stalls again.

"Hesta anyway, my name is Sarinah." The dancer walked over and stuck out a hand, smiling warmly.

"Junta, then sarinah." Leon said as he shook sarinah's hand.

"Well your kov is very lucky to have a women like you at his side." Leon said looking into her rich chocolate brown eyes. "Maybe i can help you pick something for you and your kov."

The dancer nodded and looked at the stalls again.

"That would be useful, I don't even know where to begin. He's recovering from a bad break, so he needs something hearty. But I'm worried bacon and eggs is too greasy. Soup, or stew might be good." Her hands had drifted to her hips again, eyebrows furrowed. This choosing food business was more difficult than she had planned.

"What would you eat....eerr..." She didn't know what to call him.

"Leon, my name is Leon." Leon said as he took of his bowler hat and bowed to the lovely Sarinah.

Leon took off his striped blazer and slung it over his shoulder, then ran his hands through his black and white hair, when he did that he felt nothing could stop him. Leon pointed to a stall that just opened up, it seemed to be making soup.

"Maybe we should give that stall a shot, looks like they're making soup. Looks like we might have to wait a little while, maybe we could find a nice seat and talk."

Sarinah looked up at the stall and nodded. It looked like they were close to opening for business, she supposed they could sit and talk briefly whist the stall owner set up. And a good hearty soup would be good for Tristaan. Nodding with a smile, she turned to Leon.

"Alright, sounds benny. Can you see anywhere to sit?" Lifting her hand to shade her eyes from the morning sun, she scanned the area. There was a large shady tree with tables and chairs set up underneath. The brunette pointed it out.

"There kov, its shaded and I can still see the stall from there."

One of the advantages of not having a field was the ability to sneak up on people. It could be fantastic when tailing someone, it was useful when hiding, and it could even be fun when surprising people. The perks of being a passive were few in Anaxas, but at least one or two of them weren't necessarily so bad.

"Y'know, rosh," Tristaan said from behind Sarinah as he approached, standing as she was with her hand shading her eyes and looking away, "Breakfast in bed ent th'same without you there, ye chen." He was grinning, though perhaps still groggy, teasing as he rest his hands on the dancer's hips, "I hope I didn't just ruin a surprise."

The passive's gray eyes fell on Leon, still grinning, "You buyin' breakfast, kov?"

"Actually, yes I am." Leon said extending his hand to be shook. "I'm Leon and you must be Sarinah's kov." Leon said with a grin bigger than a a kenser's ears. "We are waiting for the stall." pointing to the stall with the giant cauldron.

"We are going to sit by the tree." Leon said as he began to walk to the tree. "So what tribe are you guys a part of." He siad pointing to all the different tents around the stalls. "I myself am part of the laughing sky tribe."

"My daoa was actually part of the falling stone tribe though, so i can dance really well." Leon said striking a dance pose.

The brunette gasped, momentarily startled by the voice in her ear. She laughed, moving her hands to rest them on his, turning her head and upper body so she could see him.

"Tristaan, you scared me half to death balach. And yes, actually, you did. But I ent too upset."



The dancer shook her head, reaching out to put a hand on Leon's shoulder.

"Ne, ye ent. I can't allow you to spend your ging on complete strangers. Leon here was helping me figure out what a kov might like for breakfast. But now your here, I guess that idea is out the window." She wasn't dissapointed he was up though, it meant he was feeling better.



The dancer began to walk, moving so she was beside Tristaan, holding his hand. She chuckled a little as Leon posed, but the question posed somewhat of a problem. Was she still calling herself an Eye? She wasn't a Crow so she couldn't call herself that.

"I'm in between tribes, you might say. I'm Yellow Eye by birth though. And I don't have any Falling Stone in my blood, but I dance too." She winked at Tristaan.

"Oes, that'd be me, last time I checked. Name's Tristaan."

The swordsman stepped around from behind Sarinah to firmly shake the wick's hand with his own calloused one. He'd left the camp barefoot and unarmed, shirt half-buttoned and dark, wavy hair mostly pulled back, if only to keep it from his face. He'd caught up on his sleep, mostly, and had slowly begun to realize just how relaxing it was to be surrounded by festival-minded wicks.


The passive chuckled, taunting cheerfully, "You're assumin' some of us kovs are picky 'bout what we're eatin'. I ent, but then on an island full'o'wicks, it can't be hard t'find somethin' good, neither."


Tristaan gently swung their hands between them as they walked, smirking slightly at the dancer's response, despite being amused by her implications.

"I ent a wick or Red Crow by birth, but they're my family now," He answered Leon with a nonchalant shrug, not particularly interested if he'd left his heritage in question or not, "I know a few Stones an' Skies, Good wicks, them."

"An' I know a bit 'bout dancin', but it didn't come without some practice. Issat what brought you t'Surwood, Leon?"

Giana weaved through the crowds, looking for a familiar black and red head somewhere near. She'd looked all over where they had been on the eighth, and some other parts of the festival, but couldn't find Sarinah anywhere. Gods, did she need a favor.
Finally, she spotted the dancer standing near a breakfast cart with two men, one wearing...well, half-wearing...a rather fetching shirt. Oh. Oh, gods.
"Sarinah! Oi, Sarinaaaaah!"
She hoped she had the right chip.

The dancer turned slowly. Who on Vita was calling her? She saw a young witch approaching, she looked familiar, but the woman couldn't quite place her. Ah of course! The Hingle Rights girl. She smiled warmly, raising an arm in greeting.

"Ho, Giana! What's wrong chip?" Sarinah turned back to smile at the two men.

"She's a witch I met when I first arrived. Nice girl."

"Sarinah! Look, I need to borrow some clothes from you, and I know you've got the right thing for it. Can you help? Oh, hesta, kovs. I'm Giana, nice to meet you."
She felt a little odd asking to borrow what she wanted in front of them, but she figured she'd be wearing the thing to impress a kov, anyway, so why worry about two more?

"Hesta," Smiled the passive, offering his hand in greeting, "Names Tristaan." He chuckled, wondering what particular item of clothing Giana could be wanting, specifically from Sarinah.

The dancer raised an eyebrow, looking over at Tristaan. What an odd request!



Sarinah could almost see what he was thinking. She made a face and poked him in the ribs.

"Quiet you." Walking closer to Giana, she put a hand on her arm.

"What were you after rosh? Most of my clothes are...well..." She looked sort of embarrassed.

"They are made for freedom of movement." She said as delicately as she could. Clearing her throat, she continued with a slight color to her cheeks.

"But I have some less revealing things from Eriyenna. And I have a pretty white dress with black lace. It's more of a special dress though, for a special occasion." Looking at Tristaan, her blush deepened.

"Junta, Tristaan! I like your name. How do you know Sarinah?"

By how close the man was standing and how Sarinah was looking at him, she could guess that they were a bit more than friends, but she figured she'd keep up the conversation.



"Umm, was lookin' for a corset top to maybe go with a skirt I have, but...whatever y'think would look olio? And I like your clothes! They always look amazing on you. I'm jealous."
She looked down at her own ensemble of off-the-shoulder wine blouse and swingy, printed tiered skirt.
"I'm tryin' to impress a kov, and I'd like to look a little bit more...oh, ye chen...Well, different, anyway."

Tristaan chuckled, "Mujo ma. I was told once it's a family name, but I wouldn't know." He grinned at Sarinah, trying not to squirm at being poked and prodded for thoughts that were apparently obvious on his face, "How do I know—oh—har. She's my rosh. We're yachin'."

The passive grinned, stupidly, and nodded as if to affirm his own statement. Obviously, he meant it.


Tristaan laughed, but it wasn't chiding. He bit his tongue, not knowing the witch, though he had half a mind to speak up about how it wasn't the clothes that made the woman ... entirely. It was much more exciting to meet folks who wanted to be themselves. However, the passive stood there, looking thoughtful, still grinning, and kept his peace.

The dancer positively beamed at him. The way he said it was so out there and definite. It wasn't a secret little conversation between them. It was just, there! She looked at Giana and giggled a little.



Sarinah grinned, feeling rather flattered. She looked down at herself, barely covered, leg showing all the way to the hip. It was a dangerous ensemble, but it worked.

"Well thankyou rosh!" The brunette said, ignoring the passive.

"I have a black corset. It's leather, and its got good boning in it. No sleeves or straps, and it hooks together at the front. The bottom sort of rises then comes down in a point, but not to sharply." She moved her hands around her torso as she spoke, describing the piece.

"Would that be alright? Is that all you want to borrow?"

She giggled a bit at the proud grin that appeared on his face.
"Oh, that's great! I hope everything goes well for you. You look like a great couple!"
She smiled at the two of them, genuinely happy for them. Tristaan seemed like a wonderful man to be with.



"That'd be perfect! Thanks! I know you're supposed to be yourself an' all, but...I'd like to look nicer when I see him again. I need to make up some jewels to match this..."

She mulled over what would go with the corset, and the skirt she had made last week out of some upholstery fabric she'd been given because the shop had cut it wrong and there had been too little for the project. Perhaps some of the smoke glass, or those black shiny rocks she'd found a few days ago.

"Hey, Sarinah? Do you want me to make you anything in return? I do jewelry, clothes, art...that kind of stuff."

Leon could feel that four was crowd, so he decided to go find his kenser Lester and find other people.

"Well I am going to find my Kenser." He said trailing off into the evergrowing crowds.

Tristaan watched the exchange between the two women, perhaps blushing slightly from Giana's off-the-cuff compliment. He knew had nothing to contribute to a conversation about clothing, and so he contented himself with looking around the now-opening food stalls instead.


"Tssk." The passive hissed with disappointment at Leon, "Y'ent had breakfast with us yet. Surely we can all share a bite first, oes?"

He hooked the thumb of his free hand over his shoulder, tugging a little on Sarinah's hand in his, but he smiled at Giana, "Y'ate yet, rosh? Somethin's bound t'be open now, an' I ent gettin' any less hungry just standin' here.."

"Alright then." Leon said Patting Tristiaan's back."Maybe we could get something besides soup I am feeling sort of hardy today." Leon could feel his stomach rumbling.

"Sorry to interupt you ladies but me and Tristiaan are very hungry do you think you could speed this little exchange up." Leon said with a quik smirk and a wink.

The dancer smiled warmly, giddy with delight.



Sarinah waved her hand, about to reply, when she saw Leon start to leave. Tristaan spoke to him briefly and for a moment, she wondered what it was all about.



The dancer nodded.

"Oes! Sorry kov! Chip talk and all. Lets go find something to eat." She looked around, back in the same prediciment as when she'd started this morning.

"What do you want?"
