Seth yawned widely, stretching each muscle as far as it would go, then relaxing, blinking a few times. When he awoke, it was to find himself in an alleyway not far from Stolley's Tavern. His slight headache indicated he'd had more to drink the previous night than he'd intended, but not enough to give him a massive hangover. He then recalled the moonshine he'd lead Minke to try, and briefly wondered how she was faring this morning. Rita made her presence known when her sand-paper tongue rasped gently over his cheek, a small purr rumbling in his ears- her side pressing against his head.

Seth gave her a small pat, then, stretching once more, got to his feet and began to wander aimlessly through the streets. He wasn't particularly caring where he was going, so he didn't pay it much attention. He figured if he saw a Galdor who looked loaded, he may dip into his or her pockets, but wasn't thinking about that, his mind still on Minke. Wonder if she's interested in joining the Resistance... maybe we could join together... He smirked to himself- his ideas were so childish sometimes, and yet it still seemed like a good idea.

Minke stepped out of her apartment into the sunlight. It was way too bright to be outside today. How come no one else seemed to mind the sun as much as she did this morning? A sudden throb of her head brought back vague memories of last night. Minke remembered meeting that boy, well, more like spying on him. She tried to think of his name.

"Sam? No. Sean? No. Simon? No, no, no." Minke tried to recall more detail about the evening. There was that really weird cat, the dusty bar, of course she remembered the floor, and then there was the boy again, helping her up. He had been so kind to her last night.

"How could I have forgotten his name? Vrunka!" Minke cursed before making a quick mental note,"remind me never to drink again."

Frustrated and still hungover Minke rushed into the crowd and around the corner. She wasn't sure who exactly she was looking for but she knew she'd remember him when she found him.

Seth strolled along, occasionally taking a sudden detour down one alleyway or another, sometimes travelling in a complete circle before going the opposite direction in which he'd originally been heading. "No, no, I'll get you a beer, later, right now I'm looking for.... for... something.... No, no I am NOT looking for that Wick. Yes, I know she was nice, and even a little pretty- if, you know... a little boyish- but a lot of Wick are nice.... what the hell is that supposed to mean?! .... Just shut up and stop being an erse.... yes, yes, I still love you..." He sighed, looking around. What AM I looking for?

Minke continued in a pattern. Rush aimlessly, look back, pace in place, repeat. This was about the tenth time she'd walked down this road only to turn around and take a different root.

"I'm never going to find him." Minke said feeling quite defeated. Minke heard mumbles behind her and turned her head to hear better. Where people whispering about her?

"Whatever, let them whisper they don't-OOF" Minke seemed to have a habit of slamming against things. First, the floor and now, now she had run into what appeared to be a boy. Was that a cat?

"SETH!"

Seth had just spun around to go the other way when something smacked into him. "Eh-?"



He flinched, digging in his left ear with a pinky- her voice a little loud and irritating his headache. "Minnie! Hi." He grinned, "What's that? Yes, yes, I know she hates being called Minnie. Why do you think I call her that?" He smirked. "Ah.... what? Oh... did I say that out loud?" He blushed- somehow looking cute when he did so. "Erm, yeah... soooo....."

Minke picked herself up off the ground and dusted off. "It's MINKE. And don't think I was screaming because I was happy to see you. I was trying to tell you to get out of my way." Yes, that sounded believable.

"Now if you'll excuse me IOS. I've got important business to take care of."

"O-oh... right... I, um..." He scratched his head nervously, his blush deepening a few shades. "N-no, no, no, w-wait! Yes, Rita, I know- working on it... YES I'll apologize! Errm... Yeah, I ummm.... I'm sorry for calling you Minnie... it wan't happen again... umm.... heh..." he held out a hand, "Umm... forgive me?" He smiled earnestly, which would earn him a few brownie points in the eyes of a normal girl.

Minke felt a ping of guilt. She hadn't meant to come off so harsh. She let out a sigh. Dealing with boys was way harder than she expected. She took his hand and looked him in the eyes. That smile was melting her. She hoped it wasn't obvious. "Deal."

"Hey, so about last night, I didn't do anything too dumb did I?"

He beamed at this, his mood lightening up immediately, "Geat!"



"Last night? Psh... naw... in fact, you were the most normal shloshed person I'd ever met... wouldn't have noticed you were sunk if you hadn't so anxiously acquainted yourself with the Tavern's floor." He chuckled to himself. "Anyway, if you HAD done something incredibly stupid, it would have been forgivable. It's normal for one to lose oneself in spirits... especially when it is your first drink... perhaps moonshine was a bit strong..."

Minke blushed. She would have tried to deny is if she didn't have the bump on her head to prove it.

She leaned in closed to talk to Seth quietly. "You said you knew the..um..uh." she cupped her mouth and whispered,"resistance. I was just wondering if, well, any chance I can get in on it?"


[This is my last post for tonight D: I have to get up super early tomorrow.]

He nodded slowly, took her by the hand, and lead her to the moderate shelter of a nearby alley. "To be honest," He said in a low voice, "I don't know a whole lot about the Resistance, but I do intend on joining it. As for the underground, I know my way around there. I have yet to find someone who will trust me enough to tell me with whom I should speak about joining, though... big organization, very secretive... you know how it is..." He shrugged, "Anyway, I had actually been wondering if you would like to come along and we could join together?" Oh... did it just come out like that? Oops... He blushed, but the shade of the alleyway- however minimal- was enough to hide it.

Did he just say "together"? She liked his company, not to mention she wasn't at all sure what she was doing with this whole "resistance" thing. Plus, having someone to go with would definately take some pressure off.

"Sure, I mean, yeah. That sounds great." Minke responded. She had almost blurted out "I'd love to" but decided it would probably make her sound too eager to come with him.

"Great!" He almost felt like hugging her, but wasn't sure that would be such a great idea. "So, I guess the first thing's first. We need to head underground. Follow me."

Minke followed him as he pulled her along by the hand. It was then that she realized they had been holding hands for the entire time.

"Where are we going?"

"We're going to Vienda. I heard there were some resistance members I can talk to there. I'm not sure if they'll be interested in a petty thief like me, though- the most I've dealt with them was in selling my wares, nothing particularly useful. But they should have use for you.... er... what is it you do, anyway?"

((OK, I am soooo BSing my way through this... couldn't find anything about it's location in the Wiki. Though I prolly wasn't looking hard enough.))

Minke for a while, "That's a good question. I don't think the resistance wants any of my sketches, nor do they need any paint." She sat there for a while thinking of what she might be able to contribute.

"I have an idea, we just need to stop by my house. C'mon" she ordered, pulling him in the opposite direction.

A couple minutes passed and they were outside her apartment. "Okay, I just need to pop in and out and we'll be on our way."

Minke ran inside and searched her apartment. Where had she put it? "Kendra, mind helping?" Kendra stared at her obviously annoyed. "Fine then."
She kept searching, throwing things left and right. "Got it" she said with a grin.

She whistled for Kendra and strolled out the door.

"Alright, let's head out." she said waving the Spokes Almanac in the air. "Dad gave it to me a while back. He used to trick civvies before he was a handyman." she said grinning sheepishly at Seth.

"I never really thought to look at it 'till now."

Seth grinned, "A spell book? So you'll be getting into magic? That should be quite useful to the resistance. Much better than my own skills..." Seth sometimes wished he was a Wick, magic being a very interesting subject to him, though he didn't know much about it at all- a typical human trait. He wondered if it was really possible to see into the future, and how it felt to cast spells, and a number of other things. And he was stuck with sneaking and wielding a dagger. Oh, well... In the end there was nothing he could do about it, and at least he did have a few useful skills...
