!!!Backstory:
Nivious Lumen, 'Nivi' or 'Vi', for short, was born of two very wealthy galdori. They were quite surprised when they gave birth to an albino, but paid it no thought. They pampered him along with his older galdor sisters, Ria and Else, who held as certain disdain for their abnormally pale brother. Though his parents had treated him well, making sure to protect him as well as possible when he went out in the sunlight, he was treated as garbage by other galdori. Many of them were simply afraid of him because of his red eyes, and many others just thought him too different- some freak of nature, and many his age simply weren't allowed to go anywhere near him, as even their parents resented him. Naturally, things only got worse when he failed his initiation test at the age of ten. Not long after being marked as a passive, he heard his parents speaking of selling him as a slave, and that was when he ran, leaving everything but the clothes on his back, a set of dice, and the coin in his pocket.

Nivi used what little money he'd had on his person for travel to Old Rose Harbor, doubting his parents would look for him there. Naturally, he was right. He picked up a few jobs here and there, mostly in taverns- anywhere he could avoid the sun's harsh rays. At night, he could usually be seen hanging out in the trader's market, where at first he acted as a begger, and when that got him very little, learned to pick pockets, and found that he was quite adept at it, though that was likely helped by the constant activity of the area. Due to the many bar fights and random brawls, Nivi has also learned to defend himself moderately well in hand-to-hand combat, but would like to get training in some form of weaponry if only he could afford it.

!!!Personality:
Nivi hates the galdori, but mostly is just terrified of them. Aside from this little fact, he is pretty easy to get along with. He likes to gamble and drink, though he's only ever gotten drunk once, not liking the hangover in the morning, and has never had excessive ale since. He has a pretty good sense of humor and tends to favor dry humor and sarcasm. Despite his past, he is vaguely light-hearted. Life in Old Rose has made him slow to anger, and he can shrug off insults moderately easily, though he can be a little touchy on the subject of his strange red eyes. He does not like being out during the day, due to his sensetivity to sunlight, but can handle it for short periods of time. He likes sweets, especially chocolate, but when he gets too much sugar in his system, he tends to get very gittery, and can be a bit of a nuisance.

!!!Description:
Nivious, as stated above, is an albino. He has long, white hair, swept into a loose braid; smooth, powder-white skin; and clear ruby, almond-shaped eyes. He is very small, physically, only around 5'4" tall, and very thin. He has very little fat on him, yet isn't very muscular at all, giving him a slightly bony appearance. He has no facial hair, and hardly any bodily hair at all. He has a boyish, heart-shaped face, a small nose with a gentle slope, and full, slightly pouty lips.

Awesome name! And I have a soft spot for albinism, I've had a couple albino characters myself.

Would you mind making out a short list of skills related to his life/career? Also, has Nivious' one spell ever gone off? (Does he know what it is?)

His spell has never gone off, no, but I was thinking it would be a great defensive spell incase he ever got in a deadly situation. I will get right to naming some basic skills.

Oh, as for the barkeep, would I need to make a post starting him out somewhere, or could he already be working in one of the taverns?

Not any of the existing taverns, since we've already named all the employees.. if you want a job at one of the RP taverns you can apply in character

Ok. I was thinking the Black Dove Tavern or The Widow's Walk.... then again, I suppose if I wanted to have a hand in more brawls, I could always chack out work in The Mad Queen, if there is such a job opening.
