"It is my first time in this city. I only got here a few days ago! This was actually my first day of service." Ilithyia grinned again, biting her lip. "Up until today, I pretty much slept, cleaned the barracks and read. But today was the end of the monotony!" She smoothed her gown with a free hand, and quickly touched her hair, making sure it was still set right. She shouldn't care how she looked; no matter what, she was only ever average. Alstair laughed. "On the contrary. Things around this city tend to keep orderly. It boils down to patrols and more patrols. But, with any luck I will be stirring the pot enough to rile some action from the resistance and others." He said politely as they strolled. "I hope you do not mind if I indulge in drinking tonight madam. It has been a great while since I have had a beautiful women and a strong drink in the same night." As they walked Alstair spotted the doorway to the Paper Tiger. "Ah here we are. Such a homey little tavern."

Beautiful... the word should have felt like slap, and usually had, in the past. But from Alstair, it sounded like he meant it. And that, more than anything, was why her eyes in that second seemed to mist, and she well and truly gave up fighting against her desire. "I wouldn't mind, though I think I'll abstain, Mr. Murdoh. I'm not very good at holding my liquor." Ilithyia said with a grin. As they entered, Ilithyia understood why Alstair called it homey; if felt like walking into your favorite bar, no matter how far you were from it. Alstair looked about trying to find a spot amongst the crowded bar. He did not spot any familiar faces which, probably was a good thing. "Let us try to find a spot shall we?" he said moving towards an empty table in the rear of the room.

Alstair settled into his chair. "What is there to say. I am a mere soldier with a dream. In the past I have done some regrettable acts and wish to make amends for them. When I was your age I shipped off to Hesse. I did some terrible things that I regretted and found out that it was all for nothing. I shortly afterwords swore to put an end to meaningless bloodshed." He said looking around for a waitress.

It startled her to realize how much tat effected her; she really was a sucker for tragedy. (( Well, I vote we wait for a waitress and call it a night! This has been an amazingly fun progression, but I'm sleepy! He would never had thought that the day would lead him into such interesting things. he almost was tempted to settle down right then and there. But, his dream still hung about him like a specter and would forever over shadow him. He only hoped it would not be the death of him or this girl. ((Agreed. "Ah madam Fion! How are you this fine evening?" He said sweetly."Madam Ilithyia and myself were feeling in need of a relaxing evening after hearing the horrid diatribe of Hanz Morde. As you can imagine I am in dire need of a drink." This last line was uttered with an ironic edge as he thought back to his talk with Dom Leon. Fion had seemed interested in their doings then would she be so curious tonight?

I wasted mine slaving away to master the arts of steel and blood and now wish that I had simply lived a normal life without the pain and bloodshed I caused. Don't regret being young it is a precious gift."

Oh Alioe, he's a broken toy soldier, mad as any moony, and here is is, sitting with me after sweeping me off my feet with talk of revolutions. And clocking hell if I don't want him all the more. "I will heed your words, Mr. Murdoh, and try and enjoy my youth as best I might."
