!!!Backstory

Adelaide Liu's mother died giving birth to her on Surwood Isle, during the Wick Festival. After her mothers death, her father abandoned her with a wick woman, Alaina Bellamont. Her only reminder of her father is the wedding ring of her mothers that he had left the rosh, to give to her when she had gotten older. Alaina was very kind to her, teaching her the wick ways, and raising her as her own child would be raised. She taught her all that needed to be taught in the ways of her work, even teaching her to read what she herself knew.

She stayed with the rosh until age 8, when she decided that what she truly wanted the most was a family to love, who will love her back, and is her own. That being decided, she left the rosh who cared for her, and began to travel until she found a family for herself. Adelaide, knowing that she had left the one family that she had, sometimes wanted to return and to stay with the rosh that raised her, but remembered that in doing so, her quest to find family of her own would be lost, so she continued.

Sometimes during her dreams, she would dream of Alaina Bellamont. She would remember how she would say good night and kiss her forehead before she had gone to sleep. Sometimes she would dream of how her thick brown hair matched her ocean blue eyes so perfectly, and so beautifully. But most that she would dream of, is when she would tell her that she loved her, how she had never lied and told her that she was her own, yet how motherly she was to her, as if she were. She dreamed that they would meet again one day, but knew that that wasn't so likely...But the possibilities made her smile hugely.

During her wandering, she found a Bander Wolf in the Anaxas Plains, dieing of hunger. She gave the starving wolf some dried hingle meat she had saved on her travels. The wolf, grateful, began to follow her wherever she went. She had a companionship with the wolf, and once noting his brilliant hunting skill, named him Chace.

When Adelaide reached age 9, she found another wick, to which she quickly made friends with. The wick's name was Alaria, and she was also 9 years old. This friendship was great, but ended in a sad incident of differences. Alaria had decided to leave Adelaide and follow a larger group of wick children, which themselves followed a bad example. Adelaide didn't want much to do with the children in the group, so she set off yet again, to find some family.

Adelaide had been traveling for two years, at the age of 10. She wandered many places, becoming very good at navigation and deceiving her enemies. She had come across many thieves, and many people selfish people. She had hunted a lot with Chace, providing themselves and each other with food, and had even performed cheap tricks to impress small crowds, hoping to earn coins. The most money she had ever held at one time is approximately 2 tallies, all in the form of hats and forts. She occasionally treated herself with a piece of candy, but mostly spent her coins on items that might improve her tricks.

Once, during Adelaide's travels, she had come across a galdor, who didn't like wicks as it was. She tried to steal some of the fruit juices that he had, fruit juce was something that she loved, and rarely got. When she had been caught shuffling through the galdor's bag for his canteen after he had put it down, he had tried to use his magic to capture her and turn her in to the seventen. She had been hit once by his magic, but it was not a strong enough hit to keep her down, for he was still learning, to her he looked to be only 11 years old. When he had tried to hurt her again with his magic, Chace got in the way and was severely hurt, and was lucky to survive, barely. Adelaide ran, she knew that her magic was not going to help her much against a galdor's magic, it was too strong. That night she hid in the trees above Chace. She knew that she could have escaped, or even possibly tricked the galdor to where she could take Chace and leave before his noticing, but she didn't. She had been cut harshly, by the galdor's magic, and would not have been very fast in movement. So instead, she waited for the galdor to leave believing that the wolf would die. As soon as the galdor was gone, she ran down to Chace and tried to help him in any way possible. She bandaged his wounds with some old cloth the galdor had forgotten and left behind him, and nourished him back to health. She had almost lost Chace that day. For he was in such pain that day that he had lashed out at her, giving her two small scars on her forearm.

!!!Personality

Adelaide Liu has a very loving personality, loving everything and everyone, hoping to find love in return.
She is very street smart, but has little knowledge of books, and can only read small words that the rosh taught her in order to prepare her for the world she now wanders.
Adelaide loves animals and people, and is very weak against the powers of guilt, which she seems to find wherever she sees someone who doesn't have much, and will usually try her best to help.
She will usually become very sad and emotional when seeing families, and sometimes be a little angry when she sees sibling rivalries because of their lack of knowledge of what they have been given.
When she sees people with stuff she rarely gets, she will often steal it, depending on what it is, of course.
She sometimes forgets that Chace is an animal that can't speak, and will begin to talk to him about times of her past, and he would just lie down beside her, and listen to her stories.

!!!Physical Description

Adelle Liu has a tan, freckled face, complimented by her hazel eyes, and shadowed by her black hair. Her hair is about shoulder length, and has teal streaks (do to the mixture of green and blue dyes). Her hair is kept down during times of work, and is put up in a loose bun while she hunts and travels. She is about 4'1" tall and is relatively slim. She has oddly large feet for her size, and hardly wears shoes, only during work and hunting to prevent hurting herself in case of having to flee from larger animals.

She has two side-by-side scars horizontally across the side of her forearm, about 1 inch long.

She has a tattoo on her right hand, it's a line of dots slowly decreasing in size, starting to the left, just after her wrist, on the back of her hand. The dots curve from the left side and end up on the right side about mid-hand, then curve back to the left and trail down her index finger, the last dot being the size of the tip of a pen, ending just above her fingernail. This tattoo, to her, is a reminder of the rosh that had cared for her, being beautiful and delicate in the same way.

She wears black baggy shorts, that tie to her leg just above her knees, and a neon-green short-sleeved shirt, with sleeves that drape down at the bottom to about mid-ribcage, and has a V-neck. The shirt is long at the bottom, draping more toward the left side, which ends mid-thigh (3 inches lower than the right side). She also sometimes wears a green and black striped sash around her head.

The jewelry that she wears, including two sets of earrings, three fake-gold bangles, a copper necklace, and a copper anklet, is all fake and cheap, but is mostly to help with her work, as a peddler of false magic. One set of 1/2" hoops in her earlobes, while the other set, about 1/4", is higher up in her ear by about 1/2". She has 2 bangles on her left wrist and one on her right. Her necklace is a series of 1/2" hoops linked together, with a 1" hoop in the front. Her anklet is a smaller version of her necklace with hoops at about 1/4" and no larger hoop, hanging on her right ankle. The only jewelry she has that is not fake, a wedding ring left by her father, that had been her mothers, the design is not complex, just a gold ring with a small diamond at the top, she wears this on her right index finger, but only sometimes, otherwise it is left in her inventory in the small box she had been given it in.

Hi Adelaide Welcome to Thorns! Thanks for being patient. I like the idea you've included here about roving bands of wick children...that's very interesting! It would be fun to explore that more in the game. Also it's great to see more child characters, they really make the game interesting.

We have just a few notes about your sheet.

1. Firstly, would you look over your sheet once more and double-check grammar and spelling? Some of your capitalization is unnecessary (galdor, wick, etc) because those terms are considered normal words in this universe.

2. I'd like to know a bit more about the rosh that raised her, at least a name for future reference.

3. There is no French language on Thorns, but the name Chace is fine to use.

4. Wicks at 10 who had not been raised to read the Spoke's Almanac would not be able to cast spells at all. Young wicks at 10 would just be coming into their magical abilities, and if she hadn't been taught magic, she couldn't cast any at all. No one would've taught her before she came of age, and so if she missed out on that opportunity, she wouldn't have been able to heal anyone or anything.

However, this does afford you the ability to pick up magic during roleplay, which should be fun!

5. Although galdori do hate wicks, they would not try to kill one without any provocation, especially a child; that's still considered murder, not to mention downright horrible! If you could rewrite this scenario to be a little less extreme, it would help. Perhaps Adelaide was trying to steal something from him, out of necessity, and perhaps he wasn't trying to kill her so much as capture her? It's up to you, but as it stands it's too extreme.

One quick question though, if per se I get grounded for something and cannot log in to say that i will be offline for a long period of time, (when I get grounded it's usualy for about a month because I don't get grounded often) what will happen to my character? By the way, this is assuming that my sister is grounded aswell, for when I get grounded she usualy does with me...

you will sneak on and say that you are grounded in the schedual section of the board. nothing will hapen to yur char, just warn people and say sorry
