!!!Backstory

Born to a small mercantile family, Florence grew up living in the shadow of Brunnhold watching the greatest minds of Anaxas walk its streets and perform feats that more often than not left him dazzled and filled with dreams of being a powerful mage. By age ten he had more than once been caught sneaking into the libraries and laboratories of the great school. He scored reasonably well on his tests, proving to be at least an adequate sorcerer as well as immensely focused even for someone of such a young age.

During Florence's days as a student his obsession came to focus upon Living magic. He was often found studying the local flora and fauna as well reading any literature upon the subject. The human body, however, proved to be the most fascinating thing to him, and more often than not he would be caught sneaking into laboratories set aside for such subjects.

More than once disciplined for these actions, he garnered something of a reputation as a trouble-maker, though really he had been anything but. Florence's quiet nature led to many whispered rumors about what he actually was up to when he was sneaking about. Few of these were pleasant (none were really true thankfully), but left him more than a little bit separated from his classmates. Of course, this fact never seemed to bother him, and the few times people would talk to him they would find that he rarely would talk back.

Now a fine young man of twenty five, he works within the halls of Brunnhold trying to understand the nature of the human body and become a master of the field known as Living magic. Though still young, he has shown to be driven in his pursuits, and at times has been called obsessed. He has been known to go so far as to perform autopsies upon the recently deceased, studies upon twins, organ transplants, and the rejection of blood and organs.

!!!Personality

Though never very social, Florence has lately been trying to be a bit more active in the affairs about Brunnhold, mostly driven to secure more funding for his research. He has come to never use his first name unless absolutely needed and instead has relied upon his middle name “Sartarsus”. Thinking it to be something more 'proper' of a man in the pursuit of knowledge.

Florence is of the studious cast. Throw him into a public place and he immediately begins to fumble for his words or make himself look foolish. One on one he has been remarked as very 'intense' and focused to the point that it can be disconcerting. In private he is constantly making off hand remarks as if to an audience and seems to be almost constantly filled with a sort of nervous energy. That at first can be more than a little disturbing but after a time almost mildly amusing.

!!!Physical Description

Of average height for a galdor, Florence's skin is a pale almost olive color due to his years of reclusive study. His frame is exceptionally thin and long delicate hands show a natural skill for delicate work. His hair, black with the slightest hint of red highlights is grown long due to simply not caring if it should be long or short. He has at least been wise enough to tie it back into a pony tale. His facial features are very sharp, a stern hooked nose and cat like yellow eyes are framed by thin cheekbones and a slightly pointed chin. His thin lips are often set in a slight frown or very rarely a sly smile.

Florence's clothing varies little day to day. He is often seen wearing some sort of coat, or more often in public a light jacket that is often a neutral tone such as gray or black. On the few occasions when he makes an appearance at formal events he wears slightly out of fashion clothes that seem hardly used.

Florence in the long term intends to further the current understanding of medical techniques as well as perfecting living magic to better aid those in need of medical aid that common techniques simply cannot help.

However, in the short term he plans to at least make a name for himself amongst the high-brow scientific community at Brunnhold, as well as possibly teach, if just to secure a steady income for his personal endeavors.

1. Your grammar needs a little more work. You're lacking a lot of commas, and there are some capitalization errors. For instance, flora, fauna, and galdor(i) don't need to be capitalized. Check your formatting as well, as you've two paragraphs too close together.

2. Your back story is pretty good, but we would like a little fleshing out. For instance, with all his wanderings, did he spend any time in the Headmaster's office? How would that have affected him? How was his social life during his time at the school?

3. His long-term goals are pretty good, but what about more immediate endeavors? We'd like to see a little expansion there.
