Post Character Sheet for Annie November
Name: Annie November
Age: 24 and a half
Class: Wick
Occupation: Roving Reporter for the Kingsway Post
Physical Description: 5'7”, Olive skin, brown-to-the-point-of-black hair (comes down about two inches below her shoulders), bright green, mischievous eyes. Medium-fit build with a feminine figure.
Inventory:
Clothes: khaki camping shorts, hiking boots, utility belt, blue-grey t-shirt, camper's vest, brown fedora and brown biker's gloves, minus the fingertips.
Pocket Contents: notebook, pen, recorder, flashbulb camera, spare film, batteries and bulbs, Mango-flavored chewing gum, water canteen, lint.

History:
She is the byproduct of a failing social infrastructure. Rather, one that was destined to collapse. Her mother was a galdori socialite, steadily climbing the shining ladder that is notoriety. Her father was a nomadic wick with zero ambition for social stardom, and wouldn't get anywhere anyway due to his "less than desirable" racial status. Genetically speaking, she was a half breed bred from a half breed, and while she had more magic in her than other wicks, she was still just a wick and it wouldn't do to have a kid who looked different in a social construct that thrived on its lack of diversity. Her mother did the only thing she knew to do: she left her with an old blind seer who lived far enough away that Annie would never become a tarnished spot on her mother's shining reputation, but close enough that she wouldn't feel guilty for abandoning her. Too bad for her she picked the one person who was a blight on every single cultural structure in Anaxas. Interestingly enough, for being shunned by society like they were, they had plenty of visitors. Humans, wicks and an occasional galdori (although their visits were most secret) came to The Seer to seek their fates and learn of things to come. That's where she gained her fascination with shaping events, which led me down her current career path: a roving reporter for a popular gossip rag.

She carries no weapons; she come armed only with her sharp wit, expansive vocabulary and a knack for getting to the underlying truth in most any situation. She has acquired an enemy or two, picked up a friend here and there, and has caused at least one riot in the streets. She stands for truth, justice, the Anaxi way, and the Peoples' (and wicks', galdori and passives'--when they come out of their apathetic comas) right to know! She started writing when she was nine. The Seer picked up on her ability to discern truth quickly, and she helped her to harness her ability as best as she could. It comes in handy during press conferences and exclusive interviews, even if it does end them faster than they normally would. Doesn't bother her any, though; hitting that nerve is like striking journalistic gold.

Personality:
Annie is...an anomaly. She is an enigma in Wick form. Her mind works in overtime during most every situation, trying to come up with an angle for a story or attempting to discern the real reason behind what's going on. Sarcasm is her second language, and humor is her second nature. Despite the risks involved with investigative reporting and gossip journalism, she is not afraid of asking barbed questions or writing what she believes her readers deserve to know. She secretly likes murder attempts because it means she's hit the right nerves, getting closer to the truth than what some would want. She publicly likes lemonade, foreign chocolate, porch swings and tan lines. Annie doesn't have any love interests, because it's easier to risk her own life and limb than another's. She likes sports, loves the outdoors and will drop everything for a good game of Ultimate Frisbee. Annie November has counted to infinity, twice.

Life Goals:
Become the premier gossip columnist and investigative journalist at the Kingsway Post.
Interview most, if not all, of the important figures in Anaxas.
Learn to cable knit.

(( Extreme character sheet overhaul, go! ))

'''Name:''' Annie November
'''Age:''' 25
'''Race:''' Wick, Red Crow
'''Place of Origin:''' Dorhaven
'''Occupation:''' Roving Reporter for the Kingsway Post

!!!Backstory
Annie November was the byproduct of a social infrastructure destined to collapse. Her mother was a galdori socialite, steadily climbing the shining ladder that was notoriety; her father was a nomadic wick with zero ambition for social stardom (his racial status notwithstanding). They met in a bar one night in the Stacks, and despite her mother's hesitation, she was seduced by the wick man's uninhibited lifestyle. The next morning he was gone, and three months later she realized she had a problem. To save herself the embarrassment of an extramarital pregnancy, Annie's mother hid away in her home until the baby was born. The child couldn't be kept; it would soon become obvious she wasn't a galdor, but the woman didn't have the heart to toss her to the streets. There was an old, blind Seer woman who lived on the outskirts of Dorhaven; late one night, the lady sent one of her servants to deliver the child to the seer with instructions to never contact her. The Seer, known only as Nata, was true to her word: Annie never met her mother, and to this day is unaware of her true identity.

Annie grew up learning about magic under Nata's careful instruction. The woman was a Seer, after all, and skilled in the ways of mixing potions and reading fortunes, but her use of the mona was minimal at best. Instead, she taught Annie how to read the faces and bodies of those around her in order to understand the truths their mouths were hiding. Annie learned to ask questions in such a manner that the answers revealed far more than what was intended. Nata also taught Annie how to read and write, a talent which Annie carefully honed over the years until she could match wits with her words better than some could with their spells.

Time passed, and Annie's wick spirit grew restless. Just after her 17th birthday, she packed a bag with the few belongings she had and left to explore the world. Her travels eventually brought her to Vienda, where she discovered the world of the Free Press. The editor of the Kingsway Post read a few of Annie's writings and hired her on as an errand girl. She quickly moved up in the ranks with her editor's tutelage, until she was allowed to write copy of her own. Eventually she was promoted to full-time reporting, her dream job, which she worked at with diligence until the Kingsway Post was taken over by a new editor who promptly shut it down.

Recently, Annie has discovered her extended family on her father's side, including an aunt who lives in Vienda and three younger cousins who still travel with the family tribe, the Red Crows. Annie has also gotten involved with (and somewhat on the bad side of) the Resistance movement in Vienda.

!!!Personality
Annie is an anomaly. Her mind works in overdive in most every situation, trying to come up with an angle for a story or attempting to discern the real reason behind what's going on currently. Sarcasm is her second language and humor is her second nature. Despite the risks involved with investigative reporting and yellow journalism, she is not afraid of asking barbed questions or writing what she believes her readers deserve to know. She secretly likes murder attempts because it means she's hit the right nerves, getting closer to the truth than some would want. Annie is loyal to a fault, and will do anything and everything she feels in necessary to help her friends. With current events being what they are, Annie feels an intense need to bring down the galdori social structure, promoting equality for all races instead of the enforced racial hierarchy in place.
