 Character Sheet for Jaqueline Hyde
Name: Jaqueline Hyde Class: Human Age: Unknown, but generally perceived to be about 18 Origin: Dutaim Occupation: Mistress of Disguise
History: Jaqueline Hyde was born to a simple farmer and his wife, a family of no consequence who lived on Fentail Isle. They raised sheep, corn and other vegetables to feed themselves, just like their fathers and mothers before them, and just like their fathers and mothers before them. It was expected Jaqueline would marry a simple farmer's son and carry on the tradition, but she had bigger plans.
At the age of 5, Jaqueline created her first disguise from the sheared wool of a lamb in order to spend a whole day by the shore, watching ships sail in and out of port in the distance. When her parents finally found her, the resulting whipping left her standing for a week. In one fell swoop, they sealed her fate: her every waking moment, when not doing chores, was spent working on her disguises.
Around the time most young girls in the town were getting ready to be married, Jaqueline informed her parents she wanted to leave. She didn't fit in, she wanted to see the rest of the world and she didn't want to marry any of the local boys. At first, they were dismayed and angry, but as time wore on they realized that forcing their daughter into marriage and farm life would only destroy her. So on the night of the local Coming Out Dance and Gathering, Jaqueline's parents packed her a bag, gave her a hug and sent her on her way. She caught the monthly ferry the next morning and was never seen in Dutaim again.
Jaqueline spent the next few years on the streets, studying the people, the cultures and the classes. She immersed herself in almost every aspect of Anaxi life outside of the rural farms, from servanthood in the halls of Brunnhold to swashbuckling on the decks of pirate merchant ships. She learned bits and pieces of almost every language and gained an intellectual knowledge of simple spells, just in case somebody asked. Before long, she'd established herself as the most talented freelance disguise artist in the kingdom; her talent surpassed even the detection of the Seventeen.
Personality: Jaqueline Hyde is concerned, first and foremost, with her own survival. Even if she is helping out in a mission, should she determine the situation is about to go foul she will find an exit and take it. “She who fights and runs away lives to fight another day” is her own personal motto. With each disguise, she completely changes her persona to the point that she sometimes forgets who she really is; it's most certainly possible she actually has. Her only weaknesses are a compassion for those in real need, and a passion for lavender scented soap. She has a habit of whistling the same nameless tune to herself quite often.
Description: The only constant to Jaqueline's appearance is her height. Standing at a lithe 5'10”, nothing about her appearance stays the same during the day, saying nothing about the changes each morning. Usually, her hair hangs around her ears, since short hair is easier to cover with hats and wigs. While her eye color changes day to day, they still manage to keep the same quick look and observational manner. While she usually keeps her poker face cemented on her features, she's quick to smile and has an easy laugh.
Inventory: a collection of hats a collection of wigs, beards and other hair items a sparse but equally reusable collection of shirts, pants, shoes and jackets brown leather utility belt with pockets to hold a variety of items lipstains, eye paints, eye and hair dyes. washable ink for “tattoos” spirit gum for disguises involving facial hair a small sheathed rapier
Occupational Skills: adept at makeup and disguises, including false tattoos can adapt voice and language skills to match disguises quick runner a mastery of simple sword-fighting skills Multi-lingual skillful knowledge of magic tricks and sleight of hand.
Goals: Jaqueline's only real goal is to keep herself alive from day to day. She will, however, help those who need it (or can afford it). Oh, and world peace.

Re: Character Sheet for Jaqueline Hyde
Well, she's made her debut and already worn two...bwaahahaa.
Oh, and as an amendment: she DOES have a nickname or two, and also uses a number of pseudonyms. Most commonly, she's called "Jaq" (pronounced "Jack") or "Jackie" by those who know her closely (which will only be one or two folk).
I thought that up today while typing up her entrance, and realizing "Jaqueline" was more than what I wanted to type pretty much all the time. Haha!
Also also, if I do decide to part-time Mod, I'll prolly do it on this one. She's not as established as Annie is, so I figured it makes sense.
