 Llian Creek
'''Name:''' Llian Creek '''Age:''' 18 '''Race:''' wick '''Place of Origin:''' Near Wraithwine Wood (nomadic)
!!!Backstory
Llian is the youngest and only daughter of wicks Serana Creek and Aston Kahu. A testament to her race, she was born in her grandmother's caravan with her grandmother as midwife and her aunts waiting on hand. She is even prouder to say that the only galdor or human that appears in her lineage from living knowledge is her great-grandfather and great-grandmother on her father's side. Aside from them, no one can quite recall where the family began. Her family is mainly of Yellow Eyes origin and that is the tribe she was born into. Surrounded by family, Serana was never short of babysitters for her four children. The cramped conditions of the caravans they traveled in were highly ideal and so the children travelled with other relatives or friends who had room to spare. Llian grew up fairly close to her grandmother, "Nana Creek", who was always nearby. Nana Creek was famous for her sewing skills and could turn any piece of fabric, no matter how old or worn, into something useful. Llian was often left in her grandmother's company and the old lady made use of the girl's small hands by putting her to work in her caravan. However, she was never interested in the "family tradition" that had been maintained by the Creek women for generations. She was far more interested in what her brothers got up to.
Zeke, Keso and Rhysen were aged seven, six and four respectively at the time of Llian's birth. By the time she had turned five and was being put to work, the older boys were already learning magic from their father and other members of the tribe. The youngest, Rhysen, was still mastering tricks but would quickly catch up with his brothers in the following years. Zeke was confident and a smooth talker, traits that were used by the tribe to sell the textiles and other goods that they had to offer. But when they weren't looking he was telling fortunes to humans in exchange for tallies. Keso was cockier than his brother and while Zeke could possibly con a Seventen officer into buying his own chroven, it would be Keso who would actually try doing so. He was all flaw and create his own magic shows to trick humans out of their money. However, Keso's skills in magic were dubious and he relied heavily on tricks. The youngest boy, Rhysen was less interested in his brothers con work and instead focused more on what he called "honest work". A skilled painter, he designed and painted playing cards that would be sold yearly at the Wick Festival or to humans the tribe came in contact with. But more than often, Keso ended up using them to gamble. Llian loved their cons and tricks. Sewing bored her but card games thrilled her. When left in their care, the brothers "taught" her. Zeke showed her how words could be more efficient in changing a man's mind than any spell while Keso showed her how to perform and pick pockets (to their mother's horror). He and Zeke taught her how to make the most of her youth and gender when conning people. It's amazing how useful a woman's charm can be. While it was beneficial back then, Llian has now found it is even more beneficial in selling whice.
When Llian turned fifteen, her parents bought her a black whice. She was overjoyed by this pet (afte rall, she had been asking for one for years) and fondly called it Sought. It was with this whice that her career began. Rather than teaching her whice to swear in Tek, she taught him to come and to carry paper in training for delivering messages. She was often mocked for this, as many wicks are unable to read and write so the training was pointless. However, there were members of the tribe, including her father, who had some knowledge of writing and were happy enough to teach her. Of course, in exchange for these lessons she had to do some work. Between training Sought and her lessons, she continued peddling false magic with Keso and Zeke but this was only to raise money to feed her growing obsession. It took nearly over a year but by the end of it she had acquired a multitude of whice paraphernalia and a second black whice named Nila. Soon her whice swelled in numbers with the children of Sought and Nila. By selling the offspring in Dorhaven, where their tribe had taken up residence, she had enough money to purchase the leather for a pair of gauntlets. Although she was cutting their talons, their was the unfortunate problem of their feet cutting her arms and clothing. The gauntlets, now one of her most prized possessions, allowed her to have the whice sit on her arms without the pain that often came from it.
Living "permanently" in Dorhaven was an odd time for Llian but it was certaintly good for business. She had purchased several new whice from breeders at the Wick Festivals and various places in the towns and now had a flock that hovered around eight. After the Dorhaven Massacre, the tribe moved on and the family was glad to be on the road again. The travel made it harder to keep the whice together as when they were living Dorhaven, they could easily be tied to a fixed pole or even tree branches. While Zeke and Keso had moved out, there was certaintly not enough room in the caravan to keep the flock inside in cages. When free in the enclosed space (as the Llian found out the hard way) they were inclined to madly flap about and send things flying. It was more ideal to keep the whice outside, but the younger ones, which still required training, had a habit of not returning when called. Worse yet, they became loss in the unfamiliar territory or fell prey to the wildlife. Llian lost many of her whice these ways. The Yellow Eyes tribe moved on to Vienda but her mother and father decided against it, believing that taking permanent residence again was just a bad idea. "We're spokes," her father told her. And so they left the main tribe to journey with a faction. It caused a small rift in their family as both Llian and Rhysen had enjoyed the money their endeavours were bringing in while they had stayed in Dorhaven. They had hoped that in Vienda they could continue doing so. Though Rhysen had inherited their grandmother's caravan (sadly departed several years earlier), neither sibling felt ready to make it on their own in Vienda. Yet Llian soon had a change of heart after the following Wick Festival. Tensions were rising between her and her parents and she had just witnessed Zeke's and Keso's marriage to their partners during the month long festival. Seeing her older brothers move on and start their own families made her realise that she had to do grow up. She had sold many of her remaining whice and had had the time to meet with breeders of other tribes as she had done every year. Yet every year, they had new experiences to share while Llian had none. This added to her decision to make it on her own in the world. To do so, she felt she needed a dependable income and so this meant her career in whice breeding had to succeed. Rhysen bought an old caravan and loaned her enough money to purchase a kenser to tow it. With her whice flying behind her, Llian set off to start her new life in Old Rose Harbour.
!!!Personality
Llian has grown up surrounded by her family and members of the Yellow Eye tribe and so being alone bothered her. This can across as clingy but she simply enjoys having someone to talk to or even enjoy the presence of another person. Occasionally she will talk to her whice but, although they can talk, you cannot have a conversation with one. Llian possesses great confidence and uses it make herself known and get what she wants. When placed in a new situation, she tends to lose her confidence and become nervous and shy. From her time with her brothers in their con work, she knows exactly how to exploit someone’s good or, even, bad nature. In a bad mood or simply displeased she can become arrogant, temperamental or even smug. With three older brothers, she is self-conscious and, while growing up, covered up more than a normal witch.
To other wicks she is friendly and will offer a helping hand or hospitality, especially to members of her tribe. She views all nomadic wicks as family or extended family while to tsats, she is more wary. Any wick who has grown up with close contact to humans or even galdori, is not as trustful as a true spoke in her opinion. Humans do not bother her at all, although she sees them mostly as fools. Galdori, however, she is envious and distrustful of. She thinks it is greatly unfair that a wick is not allowed to study magic or even have a proper education. Llian would love to read and write as to create a sort of postal service with her whice.
!!!Physical Description
Llian measures one metre fifty (5.09ft) and is slim and lightweight like the galdori she is descended from. Her skin is a darker olive tone due to being wick-born and tanning. It is not freckled. Down her spine she has a black tattoo of individual floating blocks that form a plat pattern. It goes from the nape of her neck down to the base of her spine. Her hair is naturally black, long and becomes wavy halfway down. It is parted down the middle of her head with a small fringe. At the back, it is roughly parted into two and then loosely pulled up and ends tied into a bun. As her hair is shorter at the front, some pieces escape and hang over her ears. Her eyes are almond like that of a galdor but with no slant or fold. She has a small face with high cheekbones and a jaw line that gives her face a triangular shape. Her eyes are dark brown in colour. Her nose is thin and gently rounded rather than pointed.
Llian wears a white blouse with grey pinstripes. It is left mostly unopened giving a view of her chest. The sleeves are tucked under just past her elbows and covered by her leather gloves. The tops of her arm and back of her hand are covered with thicker leather of a redder hue. The rest of the glove is slighter light. On the underside are two buckles to tighten the gloves. A dark peach corset hides the lower half of her blouse. The blouse is visible through a triangle strip where the corset is tied. Her skirt is ankle length with wide sky blue stripes and thinner white stripes. Underneath is two white petticoats of a lighter material. Each is gathered at the bottom to give a wavy effect at the bottom of the skirt. Her boots are of dark brown leather, pointed at the toe and stop just past her ankle. The heel is sufficient enough for her skirts not to drag across the ground.

 Re: Llian Creek
Welcome to Thorns and thanks for submitting your character sheet! Please be patient while us mods discuss. We'll get back to you shortly. One thing you can do while you're waiting, however, is to go through your sheet and change all instances of gladori to galdori. Galdor is singular and galdori is both plural and an adjective. Thanks again!

 Re: Llian Creek
Thank-you! I'll remember that for the future c: I think I've found all the cases where 'gladori' should of been in the singular form.

 Re: Llian Creek
"Gladori" is incorrect spelling. The correct spelling is galdor/galdori. The problem wasn't entirely your use of tense so much as spelling it the wrong way. Please go back through your sheet and change all instances of glador/gladori to galdor/galdori instead. Thanks!
