Transferring Posts Why is this forum read-only? We are currently transferring all active posts to the new forum. Come into chat or email me ( cartographette@gmail.com) if you have any questions. If you'd like to volunteer to help, we could use your assistance! Welcome to the Character Journals section! This is where you can create an IC journal for each of your PCs, and post your character's letters to other PCs and NPCs. This forum is In Character, so all OOC comments need to be in OOC format. Please only make one journal per character, and specify in your thread title or your first post if OOC comments are allowed. For letters to other PCs or NPCs, you can make a new thread (you don't have to post them in your journal). Reply letters should be posted in the same thread.

To Whom It May Conscern in the Hall of Records
My name is Annie November, and I am a wick what's lived in Vienda for nine years now. I left town about a month and a half ago, on business, and only recently heard of the riots what led to the wicks being expelled from the city limits. From what I've been told, I've determined the events in question happened about a day or two after I had left. I, not being one for telling the future, had no idea something like that would happen and naturally didn't take my Writ of Residence with me in my travels.
For the past nine years, I have been staying in a boarding house known as The Coop. All of my belongings I didn't take with me are there, as well as any papers I had stored. I cannot get into the city to retrieve my writ or identification, and therefore need someone to locate the duplicate copy on file in the Hall of Records and deliver it to the Red Crow encampment outside the gates. Ask for Annie November.
Additionally, I am in need of assistance in locating an aunt of mine who also lives in the city. I've never met her personally, but from my research I've learned her first name is Gretchen, last name possibly Prisani. It may have changed, if she got married. As far as I know, she is also a wick.
You may send all bills to Jonas Barnaby, Editor in Chief and owner of the Kingsway Post. Give him my name in reference.
I thank you for your time. Annie November

Re: To Whom It May Conscern in the Hall of Records
(The following documents and the enclosed letter of explanation to be sent by special courier. - B.A. Shrikeweed)
Miss November,
Inquires into our records did indeed discover that a writ of residence for one "Annie November" (the first name being given as such and not the more usual forms of Anne, Annabelle, or similar names) was issued and was found to be in good order. We have therefore enclosed a copy of the writ which will allow you to pass into the city at your convenience.
However, the copy here enclosed is a provisional writ and thus will not permit you to remain in the city indefinitely. The original writ will need to be located and examined to ensure that everything is in order. When and if you discover your original writ, please inform the Archives and we will dispatch someone to authenticate the document. If this cannot be accomplished then either you will be, regrettably, asked to leave the city until such time as the writ is found, or you may apply for a new writ which will require the statements of several citizens of Vienda on your behalf. Given the fact that you have had employment in the city, I do not imagine that locating reasonable references should prove too onerous.
As to your inquiry concerning the location of your aunt, several possible candidates were uncovered. Here follow their addresses:
Mrs. Gretchen Throckly (nee Prisani) 1223 Swan Way, first floor back, Vienda
Ms. Gretchen Prisani A22 Nobbwhite Buildings, Plimson Road, Vienda
Mrs. Gretchen Marley (nee Prisani) Deceased, Formerly of 372 Lambert Lane, Vienda. Next of Kin: Honoria Marley, daughter
I hope that this information is helpful, and wish you good fortune in your future inquiries.
I remain, miss,
Basil Ambrose Shrikeweed, Office of Documents and Authentication
