ok, by now, if anyone has been reading sarinah's threads, she wants to make a dance joint. and if its not obvious, she is making a Moulin Rouge styled place.

now obviously it cant be called that. so i need ideas for names coz i am stumped. Moulin Rouge stands for the Red Windmill...i want something fancy...possibly in tek or something? Or something that is in Estuan that sounds exotic.

Some thoughts i had were:

The Red Whice
The Crimson Gryphon
The Olio Caoja

yeh.....some other words for red would be awesome. its gonna be very..red. lol

I say drop the word 'The'.

And...maybe combine a few words? Like...Olioja (Oliaoja?) instead of Olio Caoja.

Ooooh, I'm looking forward to this!
Strangely this is making me think of the Bare-Naked Ladies and the Scissor Sisters. I like the idea of the red something or the crimson something, although Olioja has a very appropriate ring to it.

How about The Red Herring (or just 'Red Herring').

Second one. Though I liked it when it was two parts, but that's just because one name places always remind me of nightclubs (modern nightclubs).

XD The Blushing Hingle strangely fits for a dance place...

A Hingle -- A symble of innocence as well as deliciousness
Blushing -- What is he blushing at? *perverted thoughts* hehehee....

it could drop the "The" and I wouldn't mind. It could be an assumed "The"

I know Olioja was my idea, but after all that chat talk (and the instant mental picture of a blushing Hingle done up Vegas style in neon lights), I'mma have to go with The Blushing Hingle. It's just way funnier.

I love Olioja. Sounds sensual. Blushing Hingle is...cute...but....I don't know. Olioja just sounds sexier.

Olioja sounds like it might be the mugrobi word for a certain part of female anatomy - just putting it out there!

Either one works for me (yup, an utterly pointless post from me...)!

I actually really like the Red Herring. I might steal that for another business if you don't use it XD

I think the Blushing Hingle is a cool name, but tough-ass pirates might be reluctant to visit a dance place with that sort of name..unless this is Vienda, in which case nevermind.

You could do Tekaaja - basically "party for tekaa" :D Or like.. Vrooja.

cart - i wanted to make an establishment in ORH that hopefully brings in some Vienda people...but at the same time, i cant imagine a Blushing Hingle in ORH either...but...i love that bloody name. lol. plus its supposed to be a rather classy establishment inside.

AHH!!! what to do what to do! vienda is too crowded, old rose is too seedy...but then again..the old style moulin rouge was set in the seedier part of paris, and classy folks made their way there.

How about... Muffey? <__<?

well I wouldn't imagine that ORH is comparable to Paris. In that respect, I'd say Vienda is more like Paris. ORH is more like... Tortuga from PotC.

people would go to it in old rose. there are some classier merchants and pirates that dock there. I bet Silas Hawke himself would come see you...could be a great opportunity!

As much as the more wick-sounding name is fun, considering the general concept of the place, a less-wick name is probably preferable. In a place like Old Rose, I'd have to agree with Cart that Red Herring has a really hilarious number of references. But, the Blushing Hingle is cute, even if it is already a drink name.

Oooh too many choices.

Just call it Fred.

:P

I change my mind, I like the Blushing Hingle... I don't think badass people wouldn't want to go there...lots of people go to places like "THE KITTY CAT CLUB PRR"

But they refer to it...y'know...not classily.

I think Old Rose is also probably the best place. Ports bring lots of new and interesting people.

Which is ironic because it's the one place none of the women would actually sleep with them...
