!!!Backstory:

Her father, Barett, known also as Fox, is a sailor and spends most of his time away from home, even when Vivian was born. Anna, Vivian’s mother, had to go through a difficult birth on her own in a bakery house in the city of Old Rose Harbor. The Midwife didn’t give her first born a lot of hope to survive, but trough some miracle she did. From the beginning, Vivian has been strong. Not really physically, but more mentally. She has always been a quick learner; thanks to her father, Vivian was taught to read and write at fairly young age. It was in secret of course, and Vivian understood that very clearly. After learning to read, her father brought her a new book every time he came home.

Unfortunately for Vivian, however, he always took the book away when he left. It wouldn’t be safe to keep even one book in the house, not to mention a whole pile of them. Which is why she started to memorize them. She can tell you many stories, with each of them containing their own kind of tale and characters, but she prefers to leave storytelling to more imaginative people. The spotlight isn’t a place for her.

No, she prefers to use her wits for other things. Once she found a letter inside the book her father had given to her. The letters were ordinary, but the language was unknown to her. When she really studied the words, she felt like they didn’t make any sense at all. Frustrated, she went to her dad and asked about the letter. Her father looked at it thoughtfully and then handed it back to her and told her, “It’s a letter, I can tell you that. The rest you have to try to find out yourself.” Vivian didn’t have to think too much to understand it had to be written in code. Her father gave the letter back to the girl and she started her greatest challenge yet.

Before that, she had helped her mother with shop keeping, and through that she had learned to make quick mental calculations. New customers were always amazed and insisted for her to count for them in a loud voice to be sure she wasn’t cheating. Regular customers found it extremely handy and time saving.

It didn’t take Vivian too long to understand how the code system worked in the letter she was given. Every letter had been changed with the next in the alphabet. A became B and B became C. Barett was impressed by her skill. He tested her with other kind of codes, but none of them were too much a trouble for the girl.

After sometime, she had created her own secret language for her and her friends. They didn’t need paper for it, but used a wide variety of things. It was never meant to be anything else except fun, but after years of use, it became her way of letting people know about things such as when she was free, where she could be met and so on. Her mother can still find some stones or coins laid on the kitchen table as a message about where she had gone.

!!!Personality:
She is quick-witted and has a laid back attitude. She thinks before she acts, but she thinks quickly, so don’t be surprised by her sudden actions. Her talkativeness depends on her mood. She is usually quite calm, but when she gets angry you can be sure you will hear it. She doesn’t smile too often, but when she is happy, you can see it through her eyes. She knows the skill of smiling with your eyes.

Even though she basically lives in a bakery, she doesn’t like sweet things. She does like baking, and her mother has taught her cooking skills to survive on her own.

She is usually up for trying new things. Her dream is to follow her father one day and go sail across the seas. That’s why she loves Old Rose Harbor. The only thing nearer to the sea would be living in a ship.

She is known in the Harbor as someone who likes to investigate new things. She wishes she could secretly get some information about her father’s whereabouts.

She is confident like her father – leader material. Because she has always hung around with the neighborhood boys, she has never really thought about her looks. Although she doesn’t like being ordered by galdori, she hasn’t been in trouble with them because of her attitude. You can always trust Viv if you’re her friend.

!!!Physical Description:

Her hair is black and long, but too curly, she thinks. It’s straight from the top of the head and goes wavy and then curly futher down. The straightness is caused by the length of the hair. If her hair were shorter, it would be much curlier. She usually keeps her hair in a pony-tail, but when it is down,one lock often falls into her face.

Her eyes are deep blue and there is a distant look in them, like she was looking right trough you. Many people don’t notice the birthmark next to her left eye. She doesn’t smile that often, but when she does, she can get her way with almost everything. Unfortunately, she doesn’t know it herself.

Within a year she has grown from a thoughtful looking kid into long-legged heart-killer material. Yet, she has failed to notice that so far. She feels more clumsy than ever and those extra kilos on her waist make her feel anything else than pretty. While her mother encourages her to wear dresses, she still favors sailor trousers and long white shirts with a belt on top of it. When it’s a colder day, she wears a long brown jacket on top of it.

She is taller than women usually are, probably because her father is really tall. Because of this, people tend to think she is older than she really is. While many tall people tend to slouch a little, she doesn’t. She is not embarrassed about her height and that’s why she keeps her back straight. She is as tall as average man.

!!!Goals

She wants to be a sailor one day. Yet she is afraid of taking this subject up with her father, because she has no idea how he would react. She knows she needs his permission to go with him. Right now she is gathering her courage for the moment her father comes back from the sea.

While she is waiting for her father, she has gotten a sniff about freedom fighters. She would like to discover more about them, as her natural curiosity drives her, but she doesn’t want any trouble. The idea of joining them has not yet occurred to her. She is quite confident, however, that her code breaking skills will eventually guide her to them somehow.

She would like to continue learning as well. Her skills with her daggers are really basic, but for her own good, she wants to master them properly. She currently lacks the teacher for that.

Yeah, I though grammatic might be the one failing me.
My native language isn't really english, so that where the problem comes. So I would really appreciate any kind of help. And I hope to aprove my english through roleplaying accually.
