 (L26, Afternoon) Rainy Day
"Oh it's another rainy day... Another excuse for me to hide away way." A figure sat atop the eaves of a building while looking down at the crowds. They milled through the streets pushing to get to their destinations before the rain began to fall in earnest. His fingers moved with subtle intent across the strings of a guitar. Already beads of water dotted the surface of the smooth instrument and ran down the metal casings. The sleeves of his woven jacket quickly dried the precious object before he picked up the tune again, his strong voice falling to the streets below as softly as the hazy drizzle.

"...In my heart, the rain is pouring down... endlessly. The sky is grey, just like me..." His voice was well balanced, neither being drowned out nor overpowering the chords being carefully plucked from the strings. "Oh, it's another rainy day, the sun isn't out to scare the dark away." The words came out smoothly and deliberately, but anyone caring to look up would see his face twisted in concentration from beneath the hood of his jacket. His fingers, calloused from years of work, wove together and apart like a spider crafting a web as he quickly plucked.

One boot hung into the open air, with the other firmly planted on the roof to ensure he didn't fall. Shockingly, there wasn't a single stud or glittering piece of jewelry on him. In a place like Rose Harbor, he had more than enough reason to keep as low a profile as possible. But certain habits were hard to break. He smiled, it had been a while since he had played for himself and not for profit. "Step outside to try and wash you away... Oh it's another rainy day..."

Adelle was walking behind a building while the rain poured down, the eaves of the building not quite protecting her from the rain. She stopped suddenly, when she'd heard a beautiful song, with what was indeed a beautiful voice.

She loved singing, but most of all, she loved watching other people sing and act, it was amazing to her. She loved the ideas of becoming actresses and singers, it made her feel special to know that people would be watching her, and paying attention to her. She never believed that she would ever become one, she was never sure whether or not she even sounded good singing, but the boch loved to dream.

Adelle now saw a way up the building side, but it would be risky. She turned to Chace, her eyes now sad for him. "Sorry boy, I don't think that you'll be able to get up there." She turned to the building. "Wait here."

Adelle climbed up a few loose bricks, trying not to slip along her way, finding any possible good holds. When the boch finally made it to the top, that's when she saw the source of the voice and music.

She smiled, walking slowly by the man that was singing, hoping to make her way to a seat by him.

"Ey, kov, seat taken?"

She had picked up a bit of a way of speaking from Old Rose, now taking more to the piratey ways of talking.

Post Re: (L26, Afternoon) Rainy Day
Large black boots sloshed through the rain and light mud of the streets as Eri marched through the square. The people about him were each shuffling in their own manner in their own business, and he was no different. The pitter-patter of water against the cobblestones and his body was nothing to him at the moment. His mind was elsewhere.

Mentally, Eri counted the coins in his pockets, working off memory as his hands weren't to be fiddling about them in public idly. That would give off the wrong image. He knew he didn't have enough money for what he needed, and he didn't have enough food for the trip, either. No -- preparations would have to be made.

Scowling at a man passing too close, Eri thought on more immediate matters. He'd have to repair that hole in the back room of his house; it was patched for now, but anything heavier than light rain and it could let in a small rush of water, ruining the floorboards and everything else inside. He had time, for sure, but he had to get the damned thing do--

His feet slowed their march, eventually coming to a stop. Not a few buildings away, there was a musician on the eaves of some building, his fingers strumming his guitar lightly. He was singing.

In the rain? Eri scoffed, resisting an urge to shake his head. He'd do better to play somewhere else -- at least somewhere covering his head, fool man. The man began walking again, this time towards the singer. Despite his disapproval of where the man was playing, the music itself was good, though the words were hardly decent to Eri. He was naturally tempted to give advice to the man; it was a bit of a burning desire. However, he couldn't and wouldn't.

Besides, thought the giant to himself, he'll fine-tune it, surely. And a grey sky, grey self -- fine enough words...

Eri didn't notice the girl climbing up the eaves to sit with the man. He came to a stop near the building, resting his back against it and staring out at the crowd. Being falsely intent on something while really thinking about something else was a skill he'd developed before; so, he rested against the wall, listening quietly to the man's music and words while pretending to be watching the street.
