 Aloysius Barker
'''Name:'''Aloysius Barker '''Age:'''20 '''Race:'''Human '''Place of Origin:'''Dorhaven '''Occupation:'''Accordionist/Furrier
!!!Backstory
Aloysius has spent most of his life either plodding through the Wraithwine Wood with a hunting dagger or bathed in blood or tanning chemicals. He had been working with his father as a furrier as long as he could remember; he loathed this profession but had no choice about it, his father would have it no other way. His true dream was to travel the world playing the accordion just like his grandfather. He constantly played his old beaten up accordion outside his father's store to any passersby who would listen and maybe toss a hat his way. His life was not bad at all for a human, his family lived comfortably compared to the farmers and other merchants. The flow of galdor tourists- who couldn't resist to purchase a muffler or on some occasions a coat as a souvenir- helped their business thrive. They were warm in the winter and could afford to eat well. However Aloysius' dreams of music and adventure skewed his view of their comfortability and he was often ungrateful. He did not mean to be so self-centered, but passions have a way of turning the most altruistic person into a self-loving twat. All Aloysius wanted was to move to Vienda with his grandparents, join a band and forget everything about the furrier's trade. His only hope was that his his younger brother, Nicklaus, would be an efficient enough furrier to please his father. Thankfully his brother was everything their father could have ever dreamed of. He was tall and burly, the perfect marksman and adored the musk of a good fur. Aloysius often felt envious of his little brother but quickly reminded himself that Nicklaus was his ticket to Vienda. When Aloysius was at last granted permission to leave Dorhaven, Nicklaus was fifteen and ready to work full time without distraction. His father gave him a concord and a few tallies that he had been saving for this day as well as a decent fox coat, and rabbit muffler and cap. His mother, gave him some words of wisdom between sobs about living in the city and dealing with her eccentric parents. He wished them all good bye and gratefully thanked his father. Aloysius has been living in Vienda for three months and lives in a boarding house with his grandparents. His grandfather has shown him all the best places to entertain in Crosstown Court and Kingsway Market, what people he should avoid and what people he could make a living off of. Aloysius loves living in the big city and learning all about his new exciting life there.
!!!Personality Aloysius is a vivacious and artistic young man. He is easily distracted and excited by life's small things and his curious nature tends to get him in trouble. He is ready to learn and explore his new surroundings hoping not to be lost in the vastness of Vienda. He is friendly and excited to meet new people. He is a terrible judge of character often considered too trusting by his family who must warn him of shady characters. As he plays his accordion he roams after this person or that, hoping that they might say 'Hello'. Aloysius can direct himself almost anywhere, following countless peaks of interest that present themselves, but he rarely can direct himself back. He lacks the ability to estimate time, distance, and location so he often must rely on others to get him where he needs to be.
!!!Physical Description Aloysius is of average height for an Anaxi human but is scrawny and quite cumbersome. He has light skin and a few freckles scattered across his body ( his favorite of which is on his left earlobe). His shoulders roll forward on account of his poor posture and lack of concern for things such as posture. His eyes are a bluish grey color and he has thick brown hair that he keeps fairly short. His face is long with a roman nose, thin lips and thick, dark eyebrows. He dresses simply like any other human with a plain shirt and trousers held up by suspenders.
!!!Inventory
*his old battered accordion *key to his boarding room *various knick knacks *worn leather satchel *compass *worn map
!!!Skills
*Accordion skills *getting lost *hunting *furrier skills
!!!Goals
Aloysius wants nothing more than to be a master accordionist and travel the world sharing his music and making friends. He would eventually like to meet a girl and get married but not for a while. He would like to be able to support himself without the help of his grandparents. Aloysius needs to find a regular group of people with which to play music for decent pay. He would also like to count how many fruit stalls there are in the market so far he has twelve on account of he forgot that he was counting.

 Re: Aloysius Barker
Hi! Welcome to Thorns, and thanks for posting your sheet! We've got a few edits for you before your sheet can be approved!
First things first, please look over your sheet and put spaces between your paragraphs, headers and sections! It makes it so much easier for mods to read your sheet when it isn't one big paragraph. ;3 Also please check it one more time for punctuation and grammar! There are a few places where you've left off periods entirely.
As for the actual content of the sheet, he can't have a wick grandfather and be a human. Wicks breed more wicks, even if they marry and have children with humans. Wick sticks! Unless they aren't related by blood, there is no possible way for Aloysius to have a wick in his direct family line.
Guns are illegal to own, even cheap ones.
I would like you to elaborate and substantiate his reasons for knowing how to read. Humans by and large cannot read-- it is illegal for them to do so without a permit. There is little about the fur trade that would precipitate a necessity for literacy, especially considering the mostly human population of Dorhaven by and large can't read themselves.
Five concords is a highly unreasonable sum of money to give your child to move out. Think of that as $1500 in today's money-- an extremely large sum for a human. Humans, even well off ones, are still heavily taxed by the galdori. Please change it to a more reasonable amount!
Give him some short term goals, and you're all set! :3 Let us know as soon as you've made these few edits and I'll be happy to review the sheet again.
