"Well of course we came out of it alright, we're here aren't we." Glynn patted the child's head. He found the child's obliviousness pretty cute. "Well we might not have if it wasn't for the humans of Kirec, which I hope are very prosperous now."

"The humans of Kirec helped our ancestors sabotage the galdori. Like I said before we one this battle mostly because of the humans." Glynn took a breath because he was going to need to speak a lot to explain everything.

"A Roek scout named Servan helped the humans with the task of sabotaging the galdori." Glynn looked directly at Nic, knowing he was the oldest. "You might want to cover the young ones ears. This next part is pretty bad for them but really good for us. It's up to you."

Itzal looked very relieved when Glynn assured him they had won. Argi had begun to suck his thumb again and listened with plate-like eyes.

Nic shook his head, "Not enough hands." He said very seriously, and then shrugged. Osane probably wasn't listening anyway. Argi already had his hands halfway up to his ears, but Itzal was listening avidly. The eldest Mattin suspected that Argi would give into the temptation and listen even though his hands were up. He didn't blame him-- this was a good story.

"Alright, I warned you." Glynn smirked. "I just hope I don't give you bochi nightmares. It might get pretty gruesome."

"Alright, with Servan the humans managed knock down the dam the galdori put up, to prevent the river from flooding. After it was knocked down, the river flooded and drowned most of galdori, there we bodies everywhere, it was not a pretty site." Glynn's eyes became wide and his pupils dilated. "The survivors, not many I might add, retreated back to Brunnhald because they could not build a barricade during the rainy season." Glynn winked. "And that is the end of my story."

Itzal gasped and Argi let out a tiny moan. Nicias was making a face, but he quickly whiped it away.

"We thank you," Nic said, standing and bowing. "For your story."

Osane crawled up onto Nic's back and he went on his way without another word. Itzal grinned at Glynn, made a silly face at him and ran off. Argi was close behind.
