Well I am going to have Augustus (Snoddy) purchase an old beat up theatre and renovate it. This is sort of my way of having gollies in Vienda foster a business relationship centred around the theatre.

I would like to hear everyone's idea on this matter.

Here is my proposal: Augustus is walking past an old theatre on his way to the Oak Room. Now, he had lived in Nettie Hollow ever since he moved back to Vienda, but he never noticed this downtrodden establishment before. Upon seeing this theatre, Augustus is filled with sadness. Though it might take some time, he sees that the old building has some potential to be put on a pedestal and experience glory. After being just payed for his performance in a recent play and received the secret allowance he receives from his mother every month, he is going to apply for a loan as well and purchase the theatre.

So what do you guys think?

its a nice idea for a plotline ty. we already have the sweeping ampitheatre, but this could be like...community theatre. i'm happy to have Phroste and the other's make guest appearances. and there is a lot of potential for rp. good idea!

I'd be happy enough to have it eclipse the Aeterna in popularity!

Permissions:

* You can create greenshirts (owners, employees) with dialogue for this concept, as long as they're not used for the purpose of promoting your main character, and as long as they don't feature prominently in the story and your character remains the "main character"
* You can describe the theatre before and after renovation if you wish
* You can create the wiki article for the theatre once it's opened

Suggestions: You're welcome to create a lit for the actual purchasing of the theatre, unless you would like some mod interaction. It is not necessary to roleplay this part of the story but it might be a good chance to explore your character's motivations. A good O thread would be the renovation period, and opening night would be a fantastic O event thread. Also, I bet you could interact with the circus or the other performers in Vienda in order to book some acts. Don't forget you're welcome to namedrop famous actors, like Lillian Loveheard and Basil York, though they probably wouldn't want to act in a new theatre right away.
