A letter for Horace, from his dad.
Dear Horace, I have great news to share with you. I am going to be performing in Frecks for the coming Hamis. That is not the great news, though. I have done some researching and I have discovered that we're Hoxian. I thought this would be great news for you because of your affinity with Static magic.
I was bored one day, your mother was being commissioned, so I decided to go to the old study. Searching through the shelves of books for something interesting, I stumbled upon an old, dusty diary. It was the diary of my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather, the first first famous musician of the Aquila family, Leo Aquila. The book was a memoir of his life. I have sent you the book with this letter, It is a good read.
In some parts, he talks about his Hoxian grandfather, Tover Agvil. He reminisces about his childhood dinners on the nines with him. He says his grandfather was surprisingly caring for a affectionate for a Hoxian. Even going so far as saying that he left Hox for that very reason. He never met his grandmother though, but I presume she was Hoxian because his grandfather described her as a raven haired beauty with milky skin.
When Tover's son came of age, he changed his name to a more Anaxi sounding name. He went from Tona Agvil to Thomas Aquila. Leo seems very pleased to be of Hoxian descent in the book. I wonder why he never changed it back to his grandfather's family name?
I contacted the Hoxian archives yesterday to see if Tover had any siblings. He did! He had a brother, Toxer Agvil, who taught at the Frecks institute. Some of Toxer's descendants still teach at Frecks. I am going to contact one of them as soon as I arrive in Hox.
I hope everything is good on your end. Your mother says hello and wishes all the best.
Sincerely, Magnus Aquila, your loving father
