Seyo woke up under a tree, her eyes still foggy from being tired and her clothes soaked from the Loshis rain. After a few minutes of sitting under the tree, she finally remembered how she got there. She remembered that the previous night she'd been on the ship that brought her to Anaxas, and during that time on the ship she'd found a half-drank bottle of wine.

She stood, wobbling from the dizziness and pain in her head, and leaned against the tree for a minute. "I should go an find a job. The sooner I do that, the sooner I can find a real place ta' sleep..."

Pushing off the tree, Seyo began walking towards town. "Hey Tsulu, think they got a stage 'er somethin' here? That'd be nice, don't ya' think?" Tsulu flew to her shoulder, the whice's talons grabbing her shirt, and the bird let out a squeal.

Seyo walked for a while, her head still hurting. Eventually she decided to buy some bread, and went into The Widow's Walk. The atmosphere was new to her, more of a bar-like place than she'd really ever been in. She walked up to the counter. "Got any bread'n dis place?" She asked.

A woman stood behind the bar, wiping glasses down with a clean edge of her apron. The buxom lass looked cleaner than most of the bar wenches one would find in the rose, as well she should; the Widow's Walk was one of the classiest joints in town.

The woman flicked her eyes over the dark girl, making a quick assessment. She looked a little worse for wear, but she didn't look bad for money. At least not as much as it would take to buy herself a meal.

"A hat will get you something small and good or something big and filling that tastes like sand. What can I get you?"

Seyo heard the woman speaking.

She looked up from her barstool, in a state of drowsiness. Certainly something that tasted like sand wasn't going to help her hangover. "I'll have whatever is small, as close to bred-like as possible, and please not something that tastes like sand." She said, trying to put a smile on her face.

She wanted to puke. All that she wanted to do was go puke her guts out in hopes of her feeling better.

The woman smiled and nodded. She knew that look. Most people who wandered in this early had that look... or worse.

"I'll be right back, luv." She turned and headed into the kitchens.

Other patrons nursing their heads sat scattered through the largely empty tavern. It was still early, but the rain could always drive more patrons in at any time.

(( Hint, hint. It'd be nice to have more PC's in here before I resort to NPC's! ))

Seyo sat and waited, her elbow on the counter so she could use her hand to prop up her head. Today was going to be interesting, with her needing to find both a job and a place to stay afterwards.

Well, on a good note, if she could just find a job she could ask if she could sleep here. After all, taverns usually do have rooms, right?

Tsulu hopped from Seyo's shoulder onto the counter, and nestled against her elbow as if to comfort her. Seyo pulled her other hand from her lap and gently pet Tsulu's soft feathers.
