All his life, Tonan was kept wrapped in cotton wool, Never knowing the political struggle among the four races in the cities. He just thought the mayor of Dorhaven was a snooty, stuck up golly who just wanted his own way, much like a spoiled child. Until he began to help his father hunt in the nearby Wraithwine woods, and going to close cities to sell the leftover food and pelts. There, he saw the treatment that the galdori were imposing on the Humans and the wicks. Almost immediately after returning home after his fourth annual trip to the city, he left home and began to seek a new home somewhere in Anaxas. As a parting gift, his parents gave him his now faithful companion, his pet Osta, Obsidia. He has carried her across the lands from when she was a few weeks old.

One relatively normal day, passing through the stacks, meeting and greeting the various passersby when a strange hooded figure bumped into him. Later that day, while enjoying a well earned drink in The Brass Uncle, Tonan looked through his bag, to get his purse and noticed a small pamphlet placed rather untidily on top of his things. He paid the bartender and went to find a seat in the corner of the room and skimmed through it. He realized the strange hooded figure must have placed it there earlier that day. It was about the resistance. He poured the last few drops of his drink into his mouth, stood up and left the tavern. And tufted up Obsidia's head fur. He decided he would head to the nearest Inn to get some sleep. She chirruped happily, almost as if in agreement with him.

Tonan got his first, very permanent scar on his first week outside his hometown. He also gets a few laughs from listeners when he tells the story of how he got it. Setting up camp somewhere along the Talamara River, he left Obsidia on his shoulders while he placed the rocks in a circle just a few meters from the front of his tent. What brought her to do it, he still has not worked out yet, but Obsidia jumped from his shoulder and clamped onto his nose, and did not let go. It was a small, silent struggle, and left Tonan with a small chunk missing out of his nose. For the next few months, Tonan never let Obsidia sit on his shoulder, and took to hanging out of his empty food bag, chirruping happily to herself.

He travelled from his hometown in Dorhaven, and over the bridge to Vienda, where he bought his first weapon, a dagger, and his bow and pistol. Over the two years he left home, he slowly learned various combat techniques from passing people, and practiced with them in their camps, and even when alone, he would always find something to hit and train against. Two years later, He and Obsidia have travelled to a lot of small towns scattered through Anaxas, and wants someday to explore outside Anaxas territory, after he has learned about the lands outside

He also occasionally goes back to Dorhaven, to visit his parents.

Tonan is a generally well met person, and rarely gets angry, he looks at everyone in the same way - strangers are potential friends. In his case, this usually rings true, making good ties in each town he passes through, so if he ever visits again, he will be recognized. He believes in a fair, equal community, so even if he walks past a golly, he will nod and smile, people often look at him strangely for this.
Although meet Tonan when he is angry, you might want to clear the way. He can be extremely violent, his swordplay skill is something to be rivaled. He is always seen with his pet Osta, Obsidia. He mainly keeps her for company, but she sometimes proves an useful hunting partner

Aside from being self-sufficient in the field, Tonan has a few quirks he claims to find annoying. One is always to keep his clothing and weaponry clean. He can be seen in camp, or at a inn, cleaning his longsword over and over again, and then polishing the barrel of his pistol until it almost looks brand new. Obsidia usually helps him in task, occasionally licking the flat side of the blade, or the barrel of his pistol.

In combat, Tonan can be cocky, jokey, or downright nasty. He will always have something demeaning to say to the opponent, wether it was upping himself, degrading his enemy, or just generally telling a joke about his opponents race. (he tends to fight a lot of galdori, they do not like his attitude to equality).

Tonan stands at around six feet tall, the average height for a male of his species. He has cheekbones that stick out slightly, and a squared jaw, and a flat chin. He has a scar cutting across his flat lips, that extends diagonally from the top of his right cheekbone, to just under the left side of his chin. His eyes are a light blue, almost ice-like. His long night-black hair, which extends just past his lower back is kept tied back in a ponytail, out of his eyes. He occasionally lets a small bit of facial hair grow, but usually shaves it after a few weeks, claiming to be annoyed by it. Just under the right side of his jaw, he has a crescent moon shaped tattoo, night-black, just like his hair. He has a generally well kept appearance, rarely letting his green and brown colored tunic stay dirty if he can help it. His pants are a tough, heavy leather, again, green and brown patterned. He is of average build, for his species anyway, evenly muscled all over his body, but not too much that the weight would slow him down, but not too skinny that he would be overcome by a golly with a butter knife. His most distinctive feature is probably his nose, a small chunk was ripped out when he was a lot younger.
