!!!Backstory

Rhecks Tzarki is the youngest child of two academics. Both were professors at Holinzsat when they met. They were kindred souls, both interested in almost the exact same subjects and fields of study. His mother, Zvara Ackil, was from the city of Frecks, but went to Dessteka to become a professor. His father, Pser Tzarki, was already a professor with tenure when Zvara arrived. He was told that she was going to be under his watch during her first year and during that year, their love affair started. He wrote her beautiful poems and stories; the focal point always being her. They continued for four years until Pser decided it was a perfect time to wed; they were both well known professors with tenure.

They were married for two years before they had their first child, a girl. She was named Kseka, after her great grandmother. She overjoyed her parents, they even wrote her bedtime stories with her as the main character. For four years only one set of tiny feet could be hard on the floor of the manor, until Zvara became pregnant. Pser was overjoyed to the point of almost losing his rhakor when he found out he had a son.

Rhecks grew up around fantastic writers and historians, like his mother and father. His father taught him about the great battles of the past and all about great Bash. His mother taught him all about operas, art, and writing. He read works hundreds of years old and recited operas by heart.

Rhecks was surprised when his sister decided to go to Frecks instead of Holinzsat, the place they had spent their whole lives. During the intervening years between Kseka’s leaving and he himself going to school, were filled with plenty of defining moments in his life. He wrote his first story when he was eight. Needless to say, work needed to be done to his hand writing and plot devices. The story had to do with the War of the Book; one of his favorite things to study. The story told of a young Hoxian soldier who accidently met a hatcher and fought it, sadly the soldier died.

Unlike his sister, Rhecks decided to stay in Dessteka and attend Holinzsat. Life wasn’t that much different for him, he was allowed to still live with his parents. The only difference was all the things he was learning. His writing drastically improved and his favorite professor, his father, taught him much more than he had ever learned at home. By his fifth year, history was no doubt his favorite course. When he was sixteen, his father went to work at a school near Korse Koron. He pleaded to be transferred there, if only for the year. He knew that Korse Koron was an amazing historical town. His parents finally gave in and allowed him to go with him. That year was a year of discovery for Rhecks, he found a hefty supply of artifacts, some he has to this day.

After that year, life at Holinzsat was a bit more boring. He finished up his schooling with high marks in history and writing. His parents were extremely proud. He decided to stay for post-graduate study, but after two years, his sister had sent him a letter saying a History internshio had opened up at Frecks. After saying goodbye to his family and friends he moved down from Dessteka to Frecks. Hearing of his high marks, they immediately let him take up the position. Sadly, Rhecks did not know what he was in for in Frecks.

In Holinzsat, he was a big fish. Now he was a small fish in a big ocean. When people asked of his heritage he told them he was the child of Pser Tzarki. Only a hand few of people knew who he was and only a portion of them cared. This appalled Rhecks to no end, he wanted to make a name for his father and for his family. This epiphany came at the right time, a contact had told him of a Teaching Assistant job at Brunnhold, the holy grail of universities. Surprised and delighted at the news, he quickly resigned from Frecks and headed to Brunnhold.

He sees Brunnhold as his ticket to academic fame. In his eyes, his father has done quite amazing things and should be recognized by the academic community, but this has failed to happen. Brunnhold is the only way. He’s been at Brunnhold for about a year now. He is still adjusting though, when he first arrived, he experienced culture shock. He had never been outside of Hox before this. He wasn’t used to how open people were compared to him. Having attained the internship, his next goal is to become a lecturer.

!!!Personality

Rhecks has the generic Hoxian personality. He is Stoic, Quiet, and Strong. He rarely displays his emotions and thinks emotions make him week. He does let his emotions out in one of his favorite artistic mediums, writing. He has written many stories in his life. Even though the one he wrote when he was eight was horrible, he has kept it all this time to show him that he has excelled and that he will never go back to the clichés and bad writing. Like most Hoxian Galdori, Rhecks avoids humans like a plague. He has actually never met a human and doesn’t plan on meeting one anytime soon, He rarely ever ventures out into the Stacks and if he needs to, he covers almost all the way up. He doesn’t want a chance of actually touching a human or wick.

!!!Physical Description

Rhecks is 5’2”, short even for a Hoxian galdor. He has long, sleek jet-black hair, he usually wears it down and over one eye, but during formalities he slicks it back. His eyes are almost the exact same color as his hair, if not a few shades lighter. His skin is smooth and ivory. His eyes form an awe inspiring contrast. He has the distinct Hoxian nose, small and flat. His lips are soft to the touch and thin.Rhecks’ favorite color to wear is blue and white, like most of his family. He likes to wear long, fur lined coats.

!!!Goals

Rhecks strives to be a professor like his father and make a name for his family. He also wants to write a masterpiece and get published. Ever since he spent that year near Korse Koron, Rhecks has always wanted to discover something monumental. It could be an artifact or a highly ancient and religious text. Rhecks is hoping to make plenty of connections in his years at Brunnhold, hopefully that can help him reach the pedestals of prestige. Whatever it is, academic fame is his main goal. In the meantime though, Rhecks is going to try and impress his head professor and become an Assistant Lecturer.

First of all, this is a great sheet. Good job! I get the sense that you really have a feel for this culture. It will be challenging to play, but I think you're definitely prepared.

Really the only thing to fix here are very minor errors.. "hundred's" instead of hundreds, "week" instead of weak, etc. Also there are a few formatting errors where you just need a space in between paragraphs.

Other than that, the only thing you need is maybe another short-term goal, something related to becoming a professor; maybe impress his superiors, make connections or something like that.

EDIT: Also, I was wondering if I could change some words up a little and make him, instead of a History intern, a Teaching Assistant or Assistant/Associate Lecturer. Because now that I look back, I don't think that he would keep the same position for six years, I think the main reason he kept moving to new universities was because they also had a better position available. My idea is that at first it was the internship at Holinzsat and, then the teaching assistant job at Frecks, then Brunnhold had the Lecturing job.
