!!!Backstory: He never had much skill with magic. How ever from an early age he had a remarkable talent for hitting his mark. From when he threw his first rock at the girl he liked to when he shot his first sling shot at the same girl 3 years later he never missed. His child hood had little importance. He spent most of his time tagging along after the girl he was so enamored with. She was often found wandering through the forest and he kept most wild animals way from her. Few tried to bite after being hit in the snout with something hard.

On his 12th birth day he was “given” a gun as a “present” from a very nice merchant how was passing through. He fell in love with the pistol and began to practice every day. Two years later his and Alia’s tribe were wiped out by a poison. He was now the only person who could protect Alia so he decided he needed to be stronger. He started to use magic to help his shots. First using match to spark the powder and fire the shot with out having to use primer. As the years went on and he grew he started to use more magic with his shots. Making seemingly impossible shots with ease.

Now some of you may remember the girl which he pelted with projectiles from an early age. She became his wife and his tutor in the world of magic. She had a greater skill then he did and helped him to further his skill with a few spells. Gust and Balance became his magic bread and butter. Using balance to steady his hand and using gust to spin the bullets inside his pistol he developed a few trick shots.

Long Shot: Using gust to spin the bullet around counter clock wise he could make his shot delay accurate for a much greater distance. Also using Balance he counters the recoil from the pistol firing keeping himself still.

Under shot: Using gust he spins the bullet straight back so that it is trying to pull itself up. Then using pull on the lift on the bullet he fires at the ground. Making the bullet snake along the ground at a very high speed until it hits something. All the force in the bullet almost instantly changes from moving forward to moving up and the bullet pups strait up with about half the force of a bullet first straight from the gun. The energy bleed on this reduces the range of his shot to about ½ what it normally would be.

Corner shot. Using gust he spins the bullet to one side or the other. Then uses pull as it leaves the gun. Using pull to counter the force of the pullet trying to pull to the side it goes straight then releasing the pull as it gets to a corner the bullet suddenly whips around the corner seemingly of its own accord. This trick shot bleeds of so much energy that it reduces his shot range to about a 1/3 of what it once was.

Bank shot: Using gust to spin the bullet to one side or the other makes the bullet drift one direction or the other allowing him to aim for one target and hit the target next to it. The energy bleed on this is very small and makes little difference to the range.

Ricochet: By applying back spin tilted to the angle of what he is shooting at he can make a shot bounce off one surface made of something at least as hard as metal and bounce off in another direction. The energy bleed on his is pretty bad cutting his range in half.

Using these trick shots he has earned a small reputation mostly just that of do not bet against that guy. His wife made a small killing by taking bets that he could not hit something when he pretended to be drunk. Act drunk get people to place bets against him then suddenly sobering up and hitting the target. He spends most of his money on new projectile weapons.

!!!Personality: He is rather single minded. Thinking of one thing and only one thing at a time. Mostly Food, Alia and his guns though the order of these things varies from time to time. He is rather flippant at first glance kind of a fop but at times shows remarkable clarity and wisdom. He never stays serious for long so whether or not the wise gunslinger or the playful fop is an act is any ones guess. He loves to play jokes on people especially stuffy types. Mostly he likes to see people around him having a good time. When faced with trouble he looks for the easiest way out of it. Most of the time that seems to consist of running away.

!!!Description: He has a rather average build. He does not look like much at first glance. Not very tall not short either. His eyes are a bright yellow. The only think that makes him stand out is his smile. Even in life and death situations he smiles at people. He has smiled at some one like they where his best friend as he gunned them down. There is always a joke on his lips and nothing seems to take away his smile. Which can get pretty creepy depending on the situation. His clothing is often flowing. He is always seen with a hat with a large feather on it that hangs low to the side. While this may look like he dresses like a fop. However this is far from the truth. The billowing sleeves are there to hide his guns the sash at his hip does the same the feather in his hat is so that he can check the wind with his peripheral vision.

This is the science behind the shots I describe: Gun barrels have spiraling grooves cut into them that make bullets spin around very fast as they emerge. A spinning bullet is like a gyroscope: a sort of "stubborn" spinning wheel that always tries to keep turning the same way. If you try to tilt a gyroscope while it's spinning, it will try to resist whatever force you apply and, if you let go, it will soon tilt back the other way. This is why, when things are spinning, they are very hard to deflect from their path. We call this idea gyroscopic inertia or stability. A bullet behaves in exactly the same way: once it's spinning, it follows a straighter path as it goes through the air, so it's harder to deflect and much more likely to reach its target.
We think of bullets flying in perfectly straight lines—but nothing could be further from the truth. Several different forces act on a bullet as it goes through the air. Over very short distances, bullets do follow more or less a straight line. Over longer distances, they follow a slight downward curve because gravity tugs them toward the ground as they go along. Air resistance and the spinning, gyroscopic motion of a bullet complicate things too. Usually, because of recoil, the person firing wobbles the gun slightly when the bullet emerges. When all these factors—the bullet's motion, gravity, air resistance, recoil, and spinning—add together, they make a bullet follow a very complicated corkscrew path as it flies through the air.

Hi Poe. Wow! Your description of the gun and magic tricks are great. I really love it when people go out of their way to put their own spin on things, and that sounds like a technique that could really catch on in the world. (I'm a little confused by the term "energy bleed" but I assume it's a sciencey thing.)

I have two teeny edits. First, could you break your backstory up into paragraphs for me? Secondly, Mugrobi men don't grow facial hair, so he wouldn't have a five o'clock shadow. That's really all, so if you can fix those two things I can approve you

energy bleed desides the power and range of the bullet basicly if a bullet got 50 ft with 500 units of energy puting enough energy into it to make it bend takes some units of energy away going forword so if it spends 200 units of energy to change its ark by like 20 degries then it is left with 300 going forword makeing the range 30ft now... that is it in a nut shell and i will make the edits now
