Post Midnight at the Harbor - Intas 9th, midnight
((for Angel and Lacey, but open to anyone who wants to stop by I guess))

By the time the steamboat Bandolier had been secured, and its safe-keeping had been assured, Iale was feeling pretty good. Sure, she'd gotten some looks, and a rather nasty comment about the circus, but would it really be the big city if the harbor wasn't speckled with luggers? More importantly, they were here in the big city - she, Angel, and Lacey - and they were going to find Joe Billows if it was the last thing they did.

Resisting the urge to give Lacey a sidelong glance, she contemplated the other pirates' motives for a moment. Surely Angel wanted to collect the reward, or perhaps earn a little cred among the Bad Brothers, and it would be no small feat to dispatch with her before she could do so. Lacey was probably just there to mess with her mind. Without a boat, a pirate was nothing more than a thug, as she was painfully aware.

As they entered Vienda through the city gates, Iale cleared her throat.

"May'aps we should find a place to kip for the night," she said, keeping an eye on her surroundings in case any Seventen were feeling peckish for warrantless arrests. "Tomorrow, we can split up and find that son of a bilgerat Demcay. Surely he'll be singing' like a canary at the sight of any one of us."

Post Re: Midnight at the Harbor - Intas 9th, midnight
"Aye, that'd be a good idea. I don't particularly know about any good places-- 's been too long since I was 'ere last." Angel scratched her chin for a moment as she pondered the problem. Now that they were here, things would get difficult. This was a big city and--"Well now... what's this..?"

Casually, Angel walked over to the small harbor-master's hut and ripped a sign from the numerous others that created a patchwork collage across the wall. "Hey girls, get a load of this!" She called as she gingerly walked back towards them, holding the paper out straight for both to read--if they could--while saying it outloud--if they couldn't.

"Demkaih's Spice House.
OPEN 16 of Intas!
Mugrobi spices and wares.
Open daily.
Come one, come all!
Have a browse, have a chat.
Located in the Painted Ladies,
cant miss it,
the only big red house on the street."

A wry grin crawled up the side of her face. "I think this might be a good place to start."

Iale adjusted her telescope monocle to zoom in on the paper, grinning impishly from ear to ear.

"I knew readin' was good for somethin'," she muttered. "All right, lasses, this chappie ain't goin' anywhere if he's already set up shop. We can stay at the Book 'n' Bell, if the old dump is still around. Angel, keep yer head low - people may wonder about ye..."

As she rolled up the advertisement, Angel laughed. "Way ahead of you..." Tucking the scroll into a pocket within her jacket--which was in fact the one she stole off the Bad Brother she had killed. She quickly tucked her hair back into a make-shift leather hood she had sown onto the collar of the jacket and pulled it over the upper portion of her face. Effectively, she hid her identity as a galdori, and, due to disuse, her field was still fairly weak compared to others of her kind.

Lacey glanced at the poster as Angel held it up. So, this fella was the real deal then. She liked mugrobi men, they always seemed so...interesting!

The blonde grinned as she watched Angel tuck her fiery mane up into a makeshift hood she had on her jacket.

"Not to bad Red, I'd definitely pass ye off as a wick now. Jus' keep that hood thare up close." Rubbing her hands together she grinned.

"Book 'n' Bell, cripes Iale, been a while since we been thare. In't that the place whare we got into that barfight an' ye ole Cap'n had t' pay fer that pretty light they had hangin' from the rafters?"

With a grin, Angel crossed her arms and regarded the two. "All right, then the Book and Bell it is! Hehee... we'll jump this Mugrobi tomorrow morning when he opens up shop!"
