Thunder struck as people ran under cover from the downpour of the rainy season.

"I love this time of year," Remilo said to his whice Leafeye "The rain is beautiful and cool, even if it does drive customers away." Most people had gone inside to avoid the frigid bullets from the sky. Remilo got up and pulled a cover out over his kenser so it wouldn't be wet and cold. "Here you go Uni, stay warm" Remilo said to his kenser.

It's too wet out for people to get fortunes told, or get an herbal remedy; I might as well close up shop. \ Remilo put away his "magic" stand. He went to get the chair, and noticed a small tin box about the size of a deck of cards on the ground. He picked it up, and said "I wonder what this box is for." while he opened it, but it was empty.

I love card games, but I rarely have another person to play them with. Remilo thought with a sigh as he turned and put the chair and box in his caravan. He hopped into his caravan, and closed the first door. He then grabbed the handle of the second door, but decided to look outside and breath in the cool, humid air for a little longer.

Sarinah stood under the eve of a nearby tavern, arms crossed around herself, watching the rain pummle the street. She'd just visited the jeweler and found herself very impressed with his work. The watch was polished to a mirror finish and none of the dings or scratches remained. He'd even replaced the silver chain that attached it to waistcoats. Walking home, barefeet splashing in unavoidable puddles, she had suddenly needed to run for cover as the light drizzle falling from the sky turned into a cascade of heavy rain. Thunder shook the sky and the dancer sighed. This was going to last for a while. Glancing down the rows of buildings, she could see a path if she lept from awning to awning, but it might pay to just wait it out first.

Glancing back the other way, she nodded to a young wick sitting in the doorway of his kint.

"Ye got the right idea kov." She called out with a laugh.

Remilo sat observing the rain, and people, feeling glad that he had a caravan. He saw a very beautiful woman standing under the eve of tavern a few doors down. She turned one way, looking down the street. She then turned and faced Remilo. She looked concerned, but when she saw him she laughed and said
Remilo laughed in return, and asked "Do you want to wait out the rain in here chip? I've got enough room, and your free to stay until the rain stops."

Sarinah looked up at the sky, then back at the kint. It was the Rose, people weren't exactly the friendliest here, but she did have her sai, and some spell knowledge. Shrugging with a smile, the witch dashed to the kint, jumping inside and laughing.

"Thanks kov, wasn't really looking forward to standing there all that time. I hope it doesn't rain for too long though." Reaching a gloved hand, she nodded to the wick.

"Hesta, and mujo ma. My name is Sarinah Lissden, and I co-own the old tumble house down near the water."

Remilo took the hand that was offered to him, and shook it. "Junta. You can call me Remilo Anan, epaemo for it being kinda tight in here, a spoke's got keep everything in his kint."

Remilo took a table top and put it upside down on the floor, he then put the four legs in and flipped it up. "removing the legs gives me more room." Remilo told Sarinah, "Take a seat" he said as he pulled two stools from out and put one on either side of the table.

Smiling, the witch took up his offer, seating herself in one fluid movement, crossing her legs and resting her laced hands on the table.

"No need to apologize Remilo, I've lived in a kint through out my life. My parent's first, then recently, in a circus storage kint. Came directly from Surwood to Old Rose as well, so it was impossible not to live in one there." Glancing at the wick, she tilted her head.

"Ye live in the harbor kov, or just passin' through?"

Remilo sat down after Sarinah. "I was born here in the harbor to two tsats. But a few maw ago I got this kint, and left out on my own. I've been in the harbor about 15 days. A wheel broke off my kint, so I had to fix it. It's good to be in a close place, and you can get some of the best foe dyes here, and I love to swim." Remilo laughed, and then sighed.

"Sometimes I wish I had a companion besides Leafeye here," Remilo said as he brushed the bars with his finger "but sometimes it's nice to have quite. I will probably leave in a week or two, unless I find a powerful vroo who would be willing to teach me more advanced magic."

"How about you?" Remilo asked Sarinah, "Got any plans besides a tumble-house?"

Sarinah laughed suddenly, covering her hand with the back of her mouth. Shaking her head, she sighed with a giggle.

"I should explain that a bit better. I'm not restarting the tumble-house, I'm turning it into a burlesque house. It's for dancing, ye chen? Ent any of my girls availible for private functions." Smiling, she leaned back, crossing her arms in front of her.

"It ent a bad place, the harbor, but ye gotta get used to the people. As for vroo, I ent sure where to go for that really kov. A lot of wicks are camped outside of Vienda, probably find someone there, ye chen? I've thought about putting more effort into my voodundun, but I have other things to think about." Pointing at the whice, she nodded her head.

"Ye need more company then a bird kov. Anyone can tell ye that. If you want some durin' your stay in the Rose, your more than welcome to visit us down at the...the..." Faultering, she sighed and shrugged.

"The tumble-hut-turning-into-a-burlesque-house-that-doesnt-have-a-name."

Remilo laughed at that comment. "Epaemo, I didn't mean to suggest anything, I am sure that you are a benny rosh, it's just what I thought from listening to you. It's a shame you haven't named your place yet, but if you need any painted decorations, I would be more than happy to help you decorate the place," Remilo said as he gestured at his painting supplies "I can sell you some paintings, mant or pina, or come down and do a mural on a wall."

Sarinah nodded, an idea forming in her head.

"That would be benny kov. I have an idea for the name of the place, I have to talk to my partner about it, but I think he'll like it. Could you swing by, on say, the 21st, around mid morning? I'll need someone to paint up the sign out front. And I want a big picture up the top. It's great." Grinning, she looked at him.

"There'd be pay involved to, ye chen."

"Sounds good," Remilo smiled and leaned back, and then noticed that he couldn't hear any drops on the roof of the caravan anymore. "Hey, it sounds like the rain has stopped." Remilo said, "I'll be there on the 21st, just give me the address."

Sarinah nodded, taking her cue to leave.

"It's the big two story house down near the water front, ent any real way to miss it. Taller than the other buildings around it." Standing, she moved to the door of the kint.

"Hope the rest of the day is dryer for ye kov."

Remilo stood and walked over to the door. "And you chip." Remilo was glad to have a painting job, he liked it so much more than card tricks for humans. He then remembered the witch he had promised to give a ride to Dorhaven on the 23rd. Remilo was worried for a moment that he would be working, but then he thought It doesn't sound like much work, I will definitely finish it in two days.

"Have a good day Sarinah, I'll see you on the 23rd. Fotamos."
