Post Love Bites - Intas 12, ungodly early morning (lit.)
Sarinah sat on the rooftop, wrapped loosely in her traveling blanket, hands cupped around a glass of whiskey. She'd already had two Balshem's Chroves and was feeling a bit tipsy. It had just gone past midnight of the 11th at Cooks..well...Mulms, and she had told Mulm she was not feeling well. It was true, she felt broken.

It was the same rooftop he'd taken her to on Clock's Eve, and her brown eyes glanced over the darkened city of Vienda. She could see the red of the tumble hut, and the various lights of houses still awake. There wasn't many, but there was a few. Hugging her knees with one hand, she turned her face to the sky and looked at the stars. Was he looking too? She took a sip of the strong spirit.

Closing her eyes, she could still feel his touch, still feel his strong hands on her back, holding her close. Warm breath on her neck, sending shivers through her. Soft lips on hers, kissing her passionatly, deeply. She could hear his voice, her voice, noises in the dark. Opening her eyes, she took another drink.

When she'd fallen asleep in his arms that night, she had thought he would be there. Maybe not forever, but at least for a while. But in the morning, her bed was empty. He was gone, nothing left except one thing. One red rose lay on the pillow where he had been. She'd taken hold of it, smelt its sweet fragrance. Stroked the sheets where he'd layed. The rose was still in her room, hanging drying from her dresser. And the coin he'd given to her, she had that with her now, always. She took it out and thumbed it, taking another sip.

It was hard. She missed him so much, and the uncertainly of when she would ever see him again made it hard to breathe sometimes. Her heart hurt, it ached. Everything in her wished he would come to her again, sweep her up and take her away with him. Tears blurred her vision, and she let them come, rolling down her cheeks. She drank again.

Rovin Martin. Wick magician. Traveler. Lover. Where was he? Did he feel for her like she did for him? The thought that he didn't made her cringe inside. Taking a big shuddering breath, she cried quietly on the rooftop.

It was getting early, if she didn't get some sleep soon she would be shattered tomorrow. Throwing back the last of the whiskey, she put the glass on the roof beside her and looked at the gold coin in her hand, flipping it between her fingers. Standing, she put it away in her coin purse and looked out across Vienda, holding the blanket tight against her shoulders.

"Where are you?" She whispered into the cold air. Putting her fingers to her lips, she blew a kiss to the wind. Wiping her cheeks, she turned and made her way off the building carefully. She would wait for him, but...her heart would be heavy till she saw him again.
