Post Alia Illoi
'''Name/Title:''' Healer Alia Illoi
'''Age:''' 24
'''Race:''' wick
'''Place of Origin:''' Thul Ka, Mugroba

!!!Backstory:

As a young girl Alia wished only to help those in need. She spent her time healing the animals in her tribe’s camp, often of no injury. She found they didn’t like her ministrations much but most of them put up with her because she came with treats. Her childhood friend Poe was often seen with her, tormenting her by shooting the animals she was healing and sometimes hitting her in the back of the head. Though she liked this because it gave her an excuse to pretend to heal the animals more. She also was fond of the attention. After she became ten she began to experiment and use healing spells with much success. Her abilities came in handy when her brother was shot by accident during a hunting excursion. None in the camp could heal the wound; their last competent healer had died the summer before.

That harsh summer had taken many of her tribe due to heat exhaustion and strokes as well as dehydration in one pregnant mother. Her skill at healing had caused her tribe to appoint her as their new healer and it had been grueling for many years after to learn to heal without the passionate drive that had taken her to the level she used when healing her brother. Apparently the mona liked her for her passion though. She was a quick learner and pushed herself to learn not only to heal with spells but also with herbs and such. She compiled an extensive herbal grimore of her own and added to it at every place her nomadic tribe visited. Much of the knowledge she gained on her own using trial and error and watching the local fauna.

When she was fourteen she traveled into the woods. Saying goodbye to her mother for what she did not know at the time, would be the last time, she went to gather herbs. While singing low to Poe who was standing guard over her while she worked, she heard screams of pain from her camp. She returned only to see most of the tribe on the ground holding their stomachs. The morning meal had been served and most had eaten from the same stew pot. She had neglected to eat before leaving. She tried desperately to help her people but had no idea where to begin. She tested the stew and found nothing in it that was alien. She administered antidotes to several known poisons and nothing worked. She spent the next few morbid hours listening to the screams of her people. People she could not cure. She vowed then to learn all she could of poisons and someday solve the mystery of her family’s demise.

After this she and Poe buried their people and traveled until they met with another tribe of wicks and joined with their camp. From their healer she learned more and more of healing and also began to delve into the world of poisons. She found this to be a lucrative business, on both ends. Often the people buying the poisons would pay large amounts for supposed discretion and the poisoned people found their way to her cart for the antidote. She saw this as a win win situation. Her husband, he who was her childhood tormentor is always by her side and uses his skills to gain her clients and to protect her from any potential harm. He is known for his abilities with his guns and though he is always smiling, and is a great play actor, he is wily and crafty.

!!!Personality:

Her personality varies. She is cynical but has a sarcastic sense of humor. She still thinks there is good in the world but only in the simple things in life. Family. Love. The death of her tribe weighs heavy on her soul and revenge is constant on her mind. But she is practical and knows that life must go on. Though she will get side tracked easily if mention of her tribe is spoken or if she thinks she can gain pertinent news on why they were killed. Leads have led her here to Old Rose.

!!!Description:

Unusual to her race she has red hair. She believes this is possibly due to an ancestor in her past marrying outside of the Mugrobi, and she sometimes thinks of it as a sign that she is destined to live a life of adventure. She thinks it shows her individuality. It contrasts to her dark skin which is darker than most wicks. She covers her head with veils and keeps her face hidden behind a face veil. She wears a blood red sari to mourn the loss of her tribe. Her eyes are a golden color and have a way of seeming to look straight into your soul. Her body is lithe and she seems always ready for someone to hurt those she loves. She only truly smiles when looking at her husband Poe.

She has a knack for writing poetry but rarely lets others read her work.

!!!Goals:

Her goals in life are mainly to help the weak and make enough money to survive and maybe begin a tribe of their own. But she vehemently wants to find out who killed her family and why. She fears that there was some reason her whole tribe was wiped out and has searched for the answers to these questions for 10 years. Her healing skills are well known as are her abilities to create poisons.

Hi Alia, this is looking really good :)

Firstly, would you mind breaking up your backstory into paragraphs for me? It'd make it easier on the eyes ;)

Secondly, about your character goals. I generally warn against people making their goals something to do with their past. I can easily see how the death of her tribe would continue to affect her, but the actual cause of the incident is unknown to us, so there isn't much we could do to help her find the cause. It can hold RP back if a character is very focused on her past. You don't need to change anything if you don't want to, but it's just a piece of advice.

Apart from that stuff, this is good to go, so if you'd paragraph your backstory for me I can approve you :)

Edit: I forgot, you do need to explain why she has red hair, as that's not at all usual for a Mugrobi. She could have dyed it that color, or it could be a gene from an ancestor at a stretch.

Her quest for revenge is only a passing, she dwells int he past but is a practical person and ultimately knows it is probably a futile quest. I may rp in some snippets of info along the way about it or possibly come up with more on it, however she isnt single-minded when it comes to that, it fuels her but doesn't hinder her day to day life. Also I fixed the paragraphs for ya.

Done on both requests. For some reason when I posted it from my word doc it didnt format into the original paragraphs. Hope this is better.
