Post Patrick Adrian
Name: Patrick Adrian.

Age: Fifteen.

Race: Human.

Place of Origin: Vienda, Anaxas.

Backstory: The only child of his generally law-abiding parents, Patrick has always felt both blessed and uneasy about receiving so much attention and support throughout his life. As soon as he could be made to work, his father encouraged him to join in the chimney sweep business at his side, where he quickly excelled, to Patrick's disbelief. In truth, his only skill in the trade remains to be his size, but that's enough to help supplement his quaint family's income enough to live fairly comfortably, at least for humans.

In an age old family tradition, Patrick was given the family heirloom of a rather large pocket watch on his thirteenth birthday. Well aware of the age and significance of the item, he payed careful attention to it for the first year of it being in his possession - until an accident on the job knocked the watch where it hung from his belt, and broke it indefinitely. Horrified about what his parents would think or do when they discovered this, he hastily collected the pieces and jammed it back together. The watch is, of course, broken, and Patrick, being not at all skilled enough to figure out how to fix it, nor crafty enough to divert any of his pay cheque into getting it fixed, is instead forced to try and rely on his internal clock and the going-ons around him to tell time, resulting, of course, in perpetual tardiness.

Personality: Calm, optimistic, flexible, improvised, fun seeking at the expense of reliability, talkative, gullible, outgoing, sociable, relaxed, down to earth, practical.

Patrick loves to brighten anyone's day, even if he is just meeting them for the first time. Earning a smile from someone is more valuable to him than any money. Still, he loves his free time, and generally just being a boy while he still can. He's more of a person who sees only the trees in the forest, but notices all those little nooks and crannies on the bark and the changes to its leaves, so to speak. He might not be able to see the big picture situation in life, but he can help you see little details you might have overlooked in your doing so.

Besides his perpetual and inevitable lateness, Patrick can be very reliable. He enjoys receiving tasks from people, as he doesn't mind doing grunt work for anybody, like delivering packages or messages or letters. He has a soft spot for baked goods, can be easily influenced, and wishes one day to become a carpenter.

Description: Patrick is very ordinary looking. When he's not wearing the trademark grime and soot from his occupation - though it's probably a rare occasion that he's scrubbed clean to notice - he can be said to be a fine looking lad.

His skin, under all that soot, is actually light-toned and flecked with freckles of all sizes. His hair is blonde, but you'd never know it, because the dirt darkens his lovely naturally light hair at the parts that are visible. Since he usually enjoys wearing driver hats, his roots remain untouched, but the tips are blackened and constantly dirty; the style is such that it messily spills out from under his hat in every direction. His eyes are round, wide, and curious, sporting a sort of steel blue colour.

Patrick is very lanky and quite tall for his age, which lends well to his occupation and sets him apart for some of the harder jobs. His joints are knobbly and he is fairly awkward, leading to a lot of bandaged elbows and knees and bruised shins. He can be found in nothing more complicated than a thin shirt, a vest, and short pants; whether these pants are actually floods is debatable. He loves pinstripe patterns and collects scraps of cloth he finds around his workplace, which he uses, depending on the size, as pocket accents or wrist, neck, or ankle ties.

Inventory:
Clothing:
- One Leather belt
- One pair of sturdy boots, slightly scuffed at the toe
- Olive green shirt (soot stained)
- Grey pinstripe vest (soot stained)
- Three different types of driver hats (soot stained to varying degrees)
- Dark red pinstripe short pants (heavily worn and soot stained)
- Scraps of material for tying on wrists, neck, or ankle

Miscellaneous:
- One broken pocket watch
- A very small moleskin notebook
- Pen and ink
- Coin pouch

Career:
Chimney sweep:
- His build is ideal for this line of work (tall and lean)
- Hard working
- Good at taking and understanding orders

Goals:
Patrick would one day like to break away from the monotony of chimney sweeping, and learn a craft he feels is more meaningful to everyday life: carpentry. He deeply admires anyone who can work vigorously with their hands only to produce something that looks, in his opinion, to have been delicately grown naturally from the wood itself.

However, his immediate goals are to help his parents in keeping their humble home despite rising taxes, and continue to please them, to extend the courtesy he seems to effortlessly bring them. He dreads, however, the day when it is necessary to tell them his true goal of becoming a carpenter, fearing what they might think of him deviating from their preconceived vision of their son. Nonetheless, he is not at all discouraged to keep on dreaming, and to, in general, keep helping people how ever he can manage.

[OOC: Please note that I'm totally giving permission to use Patrick as you see fit, as an errand boy and such, when necessary, :D. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to participate myself, but I'll certainly try and manage it!]

So you're giving permission for him to be used as an NPC, but you're still going to play him? I suppose that could work. We will make a note whenever we use your character for something so you know what he has experienced.

I'm approving this sheet, no errors as far as I can see :)
