 (I-16, Morning) Bad News? (Angel)
Quote: "Iale, I've got some good news and some bad news..." Iale looked down from the roof of Demkaih's house, frowning at Angel. "Tell me the bad news first," she said, hopping down; she landed in a crouched position, sending up a cloud of dust from the road. "Let me guess: he's not seen him at all."

Re: (I-16, Morning) Bad News? (Angel)
A wry smile curved up the side of Angel's face as Iale leaped down. "Well... He has seen 'im. Back on the 'leventh, Billows showed up and stole a sack 'r two of cloves from the mugrobi. Unfortunately... I doubt he'll be comin back 'ere for any more of the stuff..."
The Sky pirate frowned, already busting her brain for ideas of where the two could go next while keeping in mind that they had agreed to meet with Lacey on the twentieth. "If Billow's is on the run, he's already got a five day start on us, and even if 'e's not, that still a lotta time to hole 'imself in someplace noice and tight."

Re: (I-16, Morning) Bad News? (Angel)
Iale's face fell at the news.
"Cloves? Ye said he stole a bag of bloody cloves?" she repeated, scratching her head. "I knew he liked 'em, but Joe'd never steal from an honest merchant what done him no harm. Not inland, anyway. Well. Not a spice merchant, inland, anyway. Well..."
She thought it over a little more, sitting down on the stoop, her tiny legs not even reaching the ground. Sighing, she looked back up at Angel.
"Somethin's up with 'im," she said finally. "'E's been actin' all sorts of strange. It's eerie, is what it is. We'd best head down to the docks, ask if anyone's been down the Vein lately."
