 (I-22 evening) Anglers Alley (open)
Anglers Alley Remy did not care for this place but it was where people of his class stayed. Beggars asking for hand outs. It was an open area. There where merchants who fell on hard times selling broken things. He had no care for hand outs. He had no need for money. He was a child so he got pity more then others. A few coins where tossed at his feet. He looked at them. He was still then he closed his eyes. His fingers curled around the small peaces of metal. He picked them up and stood.
Remy dropped the few fort into the cup of a man he knew did not just spend it on drink. The man thanked him but Remy as same as he all ways did. He simply said nothing. Remy sighed softly as he walked back to his little spot. He knew these people. He knew them much better then he would like. He went to sit down next to his little sign. It was well written small black letter painted onto a peace of wood saying simply "Will work for food." Remy hung his head. The white streak of hair tickled his nose in the wind. He leaned back and began to hum to himself.

Remy looked up to the sky. He watched a few sea birds hunting for fish. He thought about what that must be like. Hunting for your food. It was far more noble then begging. He smirked and dropped his gaze. "Pathetic to be less noble then a bird." He sighed out softly and looked about. He gave some thought to just go threw trash bins again. No one around here had work for him any way.

Meseli stopped his cart as he spotted the beggar.
"What have we here?" He mumbled as his mind twisted about like a snake. "A doggy looking for a wee bit of scrap?"
Meseli tapped his foot and looked a Yoric with a scowel. The dark colored whice puffed itself up with a ruffle of feathers and clicked it's beak staring at Meseli.
"Yes, yes. Fine I'll invite the hairless dog over if you'll be quiet!" He snapped. With a sigh he looked in the direction of Remy.
"Good man doggy! Come here I have a tasty treat for you with any luck!" HE yelled waving a long skinny arm.

Remy raised a brow. He was use to being degraded. It was what he deserved. He pushed down the twisting pain in his gut. He made a smile spread on his face as his eyes all but cried. He leaned down. On his hands and knees. He pushed out his back legs with a kick. He moved as a dog would and stopped beside the mans cart. Keeping his hands and feet on the ground. He looked up to the man with a forced smile.

Meseli laughed.
"It was a mere joke!" He exclaimed. "Stand like a man. Here sit upon my cart and we shall what our poor selves can find!"
Meseli tried looking pleasent his yellowed teeth and thick greasy hair currently a mix of blacks and whites made him look less than friendly.
"Here let me help you up." HE said offering a long thin hand. Open wide and pointed towards Remy.

Re: (I-22 evening) Anglers Alley (open)
Remy's smile dropped. A look of shock spread over his face. He took the mans hand. Pushing himself up he stood. His voice was a bit shaky and he could not meet the mans eyes. "I.. um... thank you." He looked at the mans cart. "Is there a job I could do for some food.." His voice trailed off. This never got easy no matter how many times he begged. This pride he did not deserve made his words stick in his mouth and dry up like ash.

Meseli nodded smiling all the while.
"Oh yes! You can tell me your name!" He said pulling out a piece of dried meat and holding it before the man. "If you do you get this!"
His voice was lilting as he spoke and his grin barely moved. The whice perched above his head looked down upon Remy with thoughtful eye. At least as thoughtful as any other whice...
"Look...just take the food." He whispered."If you don't Yorick will never let me hear the end of it..."

Remy reached out his hand. At first it was just out of hunger but he stopped himself. He looked from the meat to the man. He looked back to the meat and let his hand move slowly to the food. He took it and pulled it to him. He took a step back out of instinct. He thought for a moment. He knew he was not to get close to people. He also was not to take food for nothing. He spoke in almost a whisper. "My name... is Remy" He pulled the bit of food to his lips and chewed it slowly. He needed to make the most of it he knew that.

Meseli smiled nodding.
"Pleasure doing business with you!" Meseli said with a nod of the head. Bells rang as he he moved and His smile hardly budged. "Perhaps you would like we shall meet again my canine friend!"
With a snap of the reigns the Kenser slowly began to pull the cart forward. All the while the sound of bells could be heard form Meseli as they moved over uneven ground.

Remy watched as the man moved on. He turned his head munching slowly. Strange man least he was nice. It is not often that he gets something that easy. He watched the man go and walked back over to his spot. He sat down slowly. savoring each bite of the meat.

Re: (I-22 evening) Anglers Alley (open)
Three pairs of eyes watched the whole exchange between the boy and the strange wick from the shadows of the alley. Once the older man left with his cart, the three children approached Remy curiously. The oldest, a freckled, red-headed boy of barely twelve, wore an over-sized shirt that hung off one shoulder, revealing a passive tattoo. His two friends, a younger, brown-haired and dirty boy and a blue-eyed girl who couldn't possibly be older than four or five, stood behind him. The girl stared at Remy's hair, one finger in her nose, mouth open. The younger boy stared at his food, trying not to drool.
The red-headed boy cleared his throat, hands on his hips, putting on his toughest, meanest, most street-urchin face and asked, "Soooo ... eh ... whatcha got there? It looks mighty tasty. You sure you can eat it all yourself?"

Re: (I-22 evening) Anglers Alley (open)
Remy looked to the three kids. He was no big himself but he looked at them with no fear. His eyes where cold as a dead mans. He turned his face to hide his scar a bit more. He took what was left of the meat and he ripped it into three peaces. He handed the largest peace to the very little girl. Then he held out the other two peaces to the boys. He did not say anything during this. He did not show any real emotion. All he could think was he did not deserve this in the first place.

Re: (I-22 evening) Anglers Alley (open)
The older boy held up his palm in refusal, stepping to make sure his two friends didn't take the food either. He huffed, crossing his arms across his chest, "I don't need your food, kid. We're tough enough to get our own."
The other boy looked terribly disappointed, but the girl was too distracted by whatever was in her nose to care.
The red-head continued, "I was just gonna ask where your ... uh ... friend was goin'. You know, to see if he had more food for the rest of us ..." He looked a little shifty-eyed, as if he might have had dubious intentions, but not for Remy.

Re: (I-22 evening) Anglers Alley (open)
Remy looked down at the meat. He took the peace he kept for the older boy but handed the girl and the younger boy back there peaces. "I know nothing about him and if you do not want any that is fine. If you care about these two you will do what is best for them." Remy looked up to the boys his eyes alive with anger. It was a cold anger that seemed to seep from his body and try to wrap itself around the boys neck. His voice was so cold one would not be shocked should it freeze the air. "If you love some one you should do what ever it takes to help them. Never let your pride get in the way of there well being. If you let your pride hurt those you love. You might as well have hurt them yourself. So you will not stop them from eating. Do I make myself clear." Remy almost growls the last part. His anger made his blood rush. The scar on his face turned a deep red as his blood raced. He looked the boy square in the face.

Re: (I-22 evening) Anglers Alley (open)
The girl squealed with joy, finally removing her finger from her nose and promptly devouring the food that was handed to her without a second thought, "Mmmmthanksmister." She managed with her cheeks full-to-bursting, eyes sparkling with joy.
The younger boy looked afraid at first, and didn't speak up when he took the offered food. He half-smiled, shyly, before looking to the older red-headed boy as if for permission.
The older boy sighed, looking at Remy carefully, "We're family. Us three's a gang here, an' I take care of 'em just fine." He stuck out his lower lip, pouting defensively, "We ent starved yet, you know." He looked defeated, like Remy's simple words had popped the already thin balloon of his tiny ego, "You inna gang, kid? You got friends?"

Re: (I-22 evening) Anglers Alley (open)
Remy ate the last bit of food. He turned from the three. He did not answer the boy. He simply looked away. Remy stayed silent a moment. "There will come a day you will have to chose. Whom you love more your family or your pride." Remy looked back only half his face showing over his shoulder. "You think there is nothing worse then being alone. You are wrong." He picked up his sign and tucked it under his arm. Remy thought about saying more but chose to stop. "Keep your pride in check. They will suffer for it not you." Remy started to walk away far to many people asking about him in one day for his taste.
