!!!Backstory:

Thadeus was born to the former Anaxi ambassador of Bastia and a Bastian aristocrat. He was mostly raised by the servants of his family, but nonetheless was forced to travel back and forth with his parents where his father's business took them. His family had homes set up in both Florne and Vienda, and by the age of 10 he had already done some extensive travel between the two great cities and the areas in between.

As with most galdori children, Thadeus was sent to Brunnhold when he turned 10. He passed the initiation with average marks, but could not help but be fascinated with the concept of magic. He studied hard to try to attain a mastery over it and excel over his classmates. Although he felt he accomplished this, he graduated at only a little above average skill. His fascination with magic continues to this day and he is constantly trying to unlock its mysteries.

After his first year at Brunnhold, he received news from his parents that his mother was expecting. He only saw his parents on those holidays that he had off and when they happened to be at the Vienda estate. So it was roughly a few months after the birth that he finally met his baby sister, Jane Arkwright. From the get-go, he felt that there was something off with his sister. Maybe he was jealous of the attention she got, or he saw her as competition. Over the years they saw each other only a few number of times and their relationship could not really be compared to that of true brother and sister.

He graduated Brunnhold when his sister was 8 years old. Upon graduation, he joined the Anaxi Armed Forces and served for 4 years. It was during this time that his parents sent his sister to Brunnhold and her identity as a passive was discovered. His parents were devastated, not that their precious daughter turned out to be a passive, but that their family name had been tainted. Thadeus now knew why he felt off about his sister, but could not help but feel sorry for her, an emotion he was not accustomed to feeling. She had been placed on an altar by his parents, and that altar had been ripped out from under her. His parents abandoned her and cut their ties to her, and merely left her at Brunnhold to act as a servant. He was away in another country when all this happened.

When he was 24, his father stepped down from his ambassadorship and retired. Thadeus could not help but assume that this was partly because his parents wanted to hide from the disgrace of having birthed a passive. The same year Thadeus retired from the army and joined the Seventen. With the lack of wars, the army had turned out be very boring indeed. He had joined so that he may continue to explore the world, and while he had been able to do that, the lack of action got to him after four years. He remembered the Seventen on his travels with his parents when they were often assigned to protect his family as they traveled. They did their fair share of traveling, and he hoped that he would be entertained in their service.

While his assumption about the Seventen had been right, it was still not quite what he was looking for. He found that members of the Seventen abused their powers and punishment was pushed to the extremes. While he enjoyed his power over others, this was not the way he enjoyed it. He felt that true power was shown not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. All he saw while he was in the Seventen was the use of physical power. After 3 years, he retired from the Seventen as well.

Presently, Brunnhold has seen a return of Thadeus. He has retired to a more aristocratic life and taken up residence within the university. He has been hired on as a researcher and spell-writer. He finally found a job that encourages his fascination with magic and allows him to travel the world for his research. He has not seen his sister in 7 years, and though he has never been fond of her, something not helped by being a passive, he can not help but keep an eye out for her. Recently he has begun research on the Everspell over Estua, something that was facilitated by study of the 10 kingdoms and their connections to the gods.

!!!Personality:

Thadeus can be cold and calculating. He has always felt a superiority over others, including fellow galdori. He tends to show no emotion and is often described as withdrawn. He flourishes in his power over others. If someone proves or shows their superiority over him, he starts to show disdain, jealously and anger. The reason why he gets described as withdrawn is because if he sees himself in a situation where that may happen, he backs out it and if he can't escape, becomes silent. He fears death above all else and would rather use manipulation to conquer his enemies than physical confrontation.

Many people have not seen him smile, ever. This is because the only time he smiles is when people have fallen into his machinations. When in deep thought, he often starts to curl his hair with his finger. He is slightly emotionally off-stable only because he has not experienced true companionship and will probably become shaken when he does. He's quiet, but assertive and quick to anger; though, it's hard to do. He tends to go where he's not allowed to, but takes great care in covering up any trouble he may cause.

If someone could get inside his head, they would describe him as tricky, rough, ambitious, arrogant, and introspective. He relishes in competition and laughs at people who try to beat him at his own game. He's highly spiritual and devoted to Circlism, but does not favor the church or Everine. He could not be called evil, as he has good intentions even if they aren't always selfless, but tends to be very imposing and intimidating.

!!!Physical Description:

Thadeus has a mix of Anaxi, Hessian, and Bastian blood. His father is a full Anaxi and his mother is half Hessian, half Bastian. He has a dark, chocolate brown hair that carriers the reddish tone common in Anaxi. His skin is of a tanner shade then the Anaxi, but paler than that of the Hessean. And though he has no freckles, he has the tall stature of the Hessean as well. He also has bright, emerald green eyes that facilitate his piercing gaze.

He wears extravagant, richly-colored clothes with many layers. His favorite coat is decorated with Monite on the trim, and he likes to wear a colorful neck scarf. When he goes out, he often carriers his exquisite walking stick. His hair is styled somewhat unusually; he has grown out his hair and tied it into three braids on each side and a ponytail in the back. The ponytail is double the length of the braids. He also has thin sideburns that stretch down to his jawbone and a goatee. He wears of a pair of breeches and knee-high boots. He commonly wears a loose, buttoned shirt and a vest. He also tends to wear white gloves and one may notice the two rings he is always wearing, even on the outside of his gloves.
