!!!Backstory

Alexander was born to two professors at Brunnhold. His birth was considered a good omen as it occured on Clock's Eve, and his parents and older brother were overjoyed by it. Alexander proved to be a natural academic, having learned to read -mainly because of his parents' ambitions for him-at age 3, and he became an avid reader. He voraciously consumed every book around him and quickly surpassed some of the brighter students at Brunnhold, all before his 8th birthday. His life was relatively soft and cushy, that is, until tragedy struck. His brother was celebrating his recent engagement by getting guttered down at The Stacks, and he became rude and mouthy with a human, unfourtantly for him the human was no pushover. A fight soon broke out and he tried to cast a spell, but the mona was unresponsive to his muddled mind and the spell failed. The human being a superior fighter dispatched him rather efforlessly. After the funeral Alexander's parents decided for a change of sceneary and moved to Vienda. They lived blandly in Vienda for 2 years until Alexander was 10, then their world was in for another spin.


At 10 Alexander was administered the Magic Entrance exam and scored a .03. Some of the results were debated between one of the veteran testers and one of the newly employed, and after several tense hours it was determined, Alexander was a passive, and he was immediatly branded with the passive tattoo. His parents were dumbfounded at how such an intelligent child could be a passive, and they quickly resolved to send him to Brunnhold, at least he would be useful there. Alexander learned two very important things at Brunnhold, how to lie and how to steal. Being such a fast learner he learned who he could steal from to get his ever sought after books, and how to get out of the situation if he was caught. He was a natural at it, and he knew it. Slowly his courage and resolve to escape began to grow stronger and stronger, until one stormy night the oppurtunity presented itself. Thunder and lightning strikes were abound around the area and most of the overseers, adminstration, and students were asleep.He gathered none of his meager belongings, and in the pitch black darkness, slipped away through the aquaducts, for once he was glad to be so small.


After wandering for a time Alexander found himself in Vienda. City life proved to be tough, difficult, and dangerous, but he didn't care. At least he had more freedom, more control over his life. He was a street rat for a time, stealing as he needed, and he continued to read, but he also took up the hobby of writing. He was rarely able to do either though, but he had an added urge to do both, because they were both illegal. He found that if he read in the dead of night, if he could find a source of light, he generally had little to worry about, but he kept his whole right arm "bandaged" Just in case, and besides, he didn't like to look at the ugly reminder of his heritage. He stole knapsacks and journals, pens and paper and took the cumbersome items with him wherever he went. He wrote poems and songs, but he also wrote things he over heard, and slowly he pieced them together. He began to hear rumors of a resistance forming, but he wasn't quite sure if he should act on his intuition. On one of his late night trips to find a suitable place to write he heard two people speaking of it, and while he couldn't see them-he didn't want to see them, it would ruin his chance to write- their speaking made him wonder if their were more to the rumors then he first thought, and maybe that suspicion he had was more than a suspicion. He decided that he would do a little more "investagating" to find out exactly if there was such a resistance, but his being a passive wouldn't be very helpful in his goals, so he did the only thing he could think of, he "cut it out". He stole a rather sharp knife and mutilated the area where his tattoo was located, and hoped that the scar that healed over it would adaquetely hide his tattoo. He took some spare cloth he had stolen and made a tight compress over the area. Now it was time to find a job, but where? His name was too much like a galdori's too extravagant in his opinion, so what should it be changed to? He thought of what he envied, of what he wanted to be. The mice that hid away from the world, that went undetected and unseen, that were light and invisible, that is what he would be. He began his plans, and began his new life, no longer as a criminal, no longer as Alexander, but as Mouse. He decided that his first stop would be the bars, drunks talked a lot, hopefully a little too much

!!!Personality

Mouse is not shy or inhibited, but he is rather slow to trust. He will often feign ignorance and trust to acheive his goals, "if people don't think you are intelligent they will trust you" is a bit of a motto he lives by.. He will do rather rash things if the feeling hits him, and he tends to be rather strange and eccletic. He isn't so much to brag or boast, and he has a general altruistic purpose to his behavior, if he can help some one he will, as long as it doesn't violate his personal moral code. Chivalry is a part of his everyday behavior, but he isn't so much for letting a woman hit him, that's where he draws the line, but he will never kill a woman, even if she has theartned his life. He is argumenitive, but will gladly conceed if he has been proven wrong. Fear and embarrassment are not a part of his life, and he tends to be overly optimistic. He is almost never serious, and he is excellent a manipulating people. He is easily angered whenever his friends are in danger and tends to fight like a breaserker in those scenarios, and the effects of adrenaline cause him not to get stronger, but rather ignore all pain, it becomes ineffective and fear no longer becomes a factor.

In terms of fighting, Mouse is not quick to fight. It takes a rather aggressive person to force him to trading blows, however he does enjoy a little friendly fighting competition. He does not have a religion and he doesn't believe in time, he views it as non-existent an imaginary thing much like an imaginary friend. He also has an unhealthy fascination with ghosts.

!!!Physical Description

Mouse is a small slender guy, standing at 5'1" and weighing in at about 100lbs. He has very soft facial features for a male, boyish in fact, and platnium blonde hair. His eyes are a very delicate shade of blue that give him a rather innocent look. Most people would think he is around 19 years old

I would also like to add that the books he was reading were NOT magical based, just general stuff(history, mathematics, culture etc). I know Brunnhold is a magic university, but I was talking about general knowledge, not magical ability. Sorry for any confusion.

Actually I just edited some of the persoanlity section, I cut too much on that I think. So I'm adding some things back in

alrighty! so, firstly, the reading by the age of three. now, i know for a fact its plausible, i was reading by the time i was four, but it wasn't from self learning - well not mostly. my nan read to me every night, and i would lay in bed when she was reading and read my little golden books. words i didn't know she would tell me and help me with. basically, it was an effort on both our parts. a child would need some guidance in this area.

the entrance exam...i see you've read the wiki. in reality, to be a passive you must have 0 but sometimes there are some who argue some results...ending up with passives scoring like alex. so i'm happy to allow it, but i think you need to have a sentence maybe explaining this. something really minor, like "and after a heated argument between the testers, ect..ect"

the fight in brunnhold. as dramatic as it is, that sort of fight just doesn't occur. think Victorian times. there are sensibilities and politeness ect ect. the kids just wouldnt gang up and have a riot. not galdori on galdori. you can have the rainy night still, but i dont think you need a student riot for him to escape. There are aqua ducts leading out of brunnhold. in the dead of the night, a small passive could easily get out of those.

regarding his reading and writing as an escaped passive, he would have to be very careful where he did this. in public - he would be taken by Seventen and returned to brunnhold. its a crime in anaxas for passives to read, let alone write. perhaps some explination of where he would hide to do this?

finally the resistance. they are very very secretive. sure, people have rumors. perhaps he can feel that there is more to the rumors than indicated, and as your paragraph states - he wants to help. my galdori Khymarah knew that something was going on through rumors, but she had to actually learn about the resistance through humans and wicks.
