Giana had finally gotten some time off work. Naturally, it was time to go out, preferably with just the girls. She'd asked Calli first, and asked her to ask other people. Hopefully the entire female part of the circus would show up, if she was lucky. Working with Taegan was fun, of course, sometimes addictingly so, but sometimes enough of him was enough. She definitely needed a break.
She waited at the entrance to the circus camp, hoping that someone would show up soon.

Calli walked towards the circus, travelling from the Red Crow camp. She couldn't seem to stop looking at the ring on her finger. Every time she did, she got a little thrill. It was a very pretty ring, it had been easy to get attached to it. Not all wicks bothered with an engagement ring, so she felt very special for having one. Occasionally she'd even stop walking to just giggle to herself for a moment and do a little dance. Normally this would have attracted stares but not at the festival. She was a wick, in the company of wicks, she could be as weird as she liked.

Calli waved once she saw Giana, glad to see the other girl again. She'd spent much of the past few days just making googoo eyes at Dorian while he made them back. Among other, similarly motivated pursuits. She knew it was time to spend at least an evening with her friends, since the festival was almost over.

"Hesta Gi! Far'ye?" Calli said, grinning like an idiot and already pausing to admire her ring again. Sure, Dorian was the important thing but the jewelery had certainly grown on her.

Winslow walked at a sedate pace, cigarette in his mouth. He had been asked by Calli to join herself and some others for a celebration. The festival was ending, the circus still wasn't entirely sure where it was going, so therefore, why not have a party. Wearing a white tunic and brown breeches, with his black suspenders over the top and a dark grey jacket, he was about as dressed up as he could be. His grey wirey hair was brushed back into something neat, and he'd even shaved.

Spotting Calli and Giana, the old clown walked up behind the blonde girl, looking down at the ring she seemed so in love with. He coughed once.

"You know, it took that boy his whole pay for a month to get that. Your a lucky girl. So...who else is coming?" The man squinted into the darkness, expecting to see more. He turned to Giana and nodded.

"Evenin' Gi. How's Taegan coming along for you? Bit of a hot head, but the kids got a good heart."

Eriyenna had gotten distracted and lost sense of time, as was her usual. She'd been trying to finish up some other composition, focusing on some of the melody, only to realize she'd somewhere else to be. Stumbling from her kint, she whistled for Bright-Eyes, who bounded from some nearby woods and happily loped along toward the fire and the small gathering that was assembling, one witch at a time.

"Hesta, roshes!" The purple-haired witch giggled musically, "An' good evenin', Winslow." She arched an eyebrow at the clown, grinning at him as her bander wolf attempted to make his rounds for attention from everyone present, black, bushy tail wagging excitedly.

"What's the plan?"

"Hi, everybody!" She waved, at first noticing only Eriyenna and Calli. "Are you two all that's...what?"

A Winslow! "Calli, you did hear me when I said it was best to invite only chips tonight, didn't you?" Still, even though Winslow (although, to be fair, he had shaved) was not a lady by any means, she didn't want to be rude. The only boys she really wasn't keen on having along were Dorian, since she knew from experience that Calli turned into a pile of gibbering, simpering pink goo when presented with him, and Taegan, since, although she adored the kov, there was only so much of him you could handle nonstop for a week. She had most definitely reached the Taegan Limit.

"Here, you can be an honorary lady for tonight." Taking a pink ribbon from the assortment tied at the ends of her hair, she tied it in a bow on his wrist. "There we go."

She looked at the three people standing in front of her. "I just wanted to go out with you all, catch the last bit of the festival before it's over. I can almost smell the rain coming. I bet this can serve as a sort of last hurrah for Cal here, too--when are you gettin' married, again? Do you know?"

Calli scuffed the toe of her shoe against the ground.

"I know but he was there when I asked Eri and it seemed rude not to invite him too..."



Calli shook her head.

"I ent got no idea. We need to get a kint first, live together for a while and then organise a date when everyone else is around. We'll probably have to wait until at least the next festival." Not that Calli minded, she wanted to savour being engaged for a while. "Where should we go? It's late but something's got to be going on. We should go dancing!"

Calli giggled with glee.

"Oh, Winslow, I think you make a fine compliment to us chips tonight." Eriyenna smiled warmly, "Though, I don't think we should be puttin' you in a skirt to go drinkin' with us. I ent sure if you want to be explainin' that all night."

She giggled musically, rolling her eyes and looking to Calli as the young witch bounced with excitement, "Dancin' sounds benny to me. I ent been doin' much of that lately. I think there's more'n'one place for that ... so it might depend on how far you all want to be walkin' home afterwards."

Jaq popped her head out from behind the kint she'd been using as a changing shelter.

"Did somebody say dancin'?!" She called as she bounded over to join the group. She was unusually energetic, and dancing was the best way to spend an overabundance of energy. Besides, she liked shaking her groove thing, and if all the girls were going, then Jaq was too! She was even dressed for it, with bright blue tights under a black woven skirt and a teal pin-tucked boatneck tank.

"I love dancin'! Where're we goin'? This'll be so fun!"

Yes, Jaq was a regular Calli when it came to dancing.

Winslow nodded to Eriyenna, slightly confused by her raised brow. It indicated something..cheeky? Funny. He looked down at the pink ribbon Giana had tied to his wrist, squinting through cigarette smoke. Removing the stub, he turned his head to blow it away from the women.



The older man lifted the cigarette back to his lips, holding his hand out and staring at the ribbon with one short cough. After a long pause, he adjusted the bow so it sat better and nodded.

"Long as I don't have to kiss Taegan or Dorian, I can do that."



The grey haired clown gave the wick a squinty look, before chuckling a little.

"I've worn worse Eri my girl, but yes, I'd rather opt out of the frills tonight."



The man nodded, taking the last of the cigarette from his mouth and throwing it on the ground, stubbing it out with his foot. He wasn't about to carry them all home. No way.



The clown grinned at Jaq, his grey eyes going slightly distant. Brushing a hand over his slicked down hair, he shrugged.

"Y'know, I heard the Laughing Sky were having a massive dance night tonight. Drinks, food and dance, mostly dance. You know what they're like. What about it?" He made a little wiggle.

"Want to go turn a jig with the Sky's?"

"Dancing it is then! Lead on, then. And no, Winslow, of course not. Calli'd have your hide, for one."

She wouldn't be drinking, but hey. Dancing and food.

"Where is this massive dance? Sky camp, I'm assuming?"
