!!!Backstory:

Angel Firehair, born Angel Aribeth, was the product of two pure-bred galdori. Her mother, a vain, frail thing, declined to have another child, citing that the stress was simply to great for one in her position to bear.

As a child, there was very little love in her home. Her parents were strict aristocrats that were very focused on their social standing. Due to this phobia of failure, they rigorously trained the young girl in the ways of magic from her youth until the test at Brunnhold.

Of course, she passed, but she was already weary with the heavy weight that she was being forced to shoulder. With her parents’ wealth, the way was paved for her success. However, that was not the case with her peers. Because of her unusually bright hair, she was often made fun of when she was younger. Her classmates would laugh and call her "Firehair"; however, the name didn't bother her, and even her few friends adopted it as her nickname. During that time, she delved into studying and used her loneliness to drive her to better herself in the magical arts.

Around her thirteenth birthday, a misfired spell struck her right eye. Though the school’s healers fixed it, the iris forever remained blood-red. After that point in time she changed, and one day, historical commentators will theorize that the misfired spell was the catalyst for her psychological diseases which had already been bred by her overbearing and unaffectionate parents.

Her personality seemed to shift drastically as she bloomed into womanhood. Using her newfound, “natural” power, she became one of the most popular girls of her class and subjugated the drooling boys to her will. Suddenly, social agenda became more important than schoolwork and her grades dropped slightly, at least in the classes with women teachers. Though she never partook in relationships with her instructors, she abused the interest they seemed to show in her.

Strangely, she chose “inventor” as her career and used her studies to learn about chemicals, compounds, and metals. While some would be perplexed by this move, she merely followed her instincts. Unbeknownst to her, she was both engaging her sharp mind in an otherwise dull world and paving the way for her future in piracy.

Magic was always something distant to her, intangible. While she did fine in her lessons, she found it’s often unreliable nature dissatisfying to her. With this revelation, she turned to heighten her skill with manual and ranged weaponry.

Upon graduation she moved back in with her parents. Not more than one month after her return, both of their lives were claimed in a fire that devoured one of their lesser manses. Because she was also badly burned in the fire, suspicion was deflected. However, looking back at these events, many would come to believe she was the cause of the deadly flames.

With her recovery, she inherited all of her parent’s estates and wealth. Angel sold most of the possessions and lands except for those in remote areas. With her newfound fortune, she bought herself an aeroship and a reliable crew. With this ship, she changed her name and started a girl band with three of her friends from school.

Named the Hex Sisters, they toured the civilized lands playing a new style with aggressive beats, catchy melodies, and repeating chords. Using sex appeal to market their band, the strict Anaxis galdori did not approve, but they received wild popularity from wicks and humans—particularly the youth. Their greatest audience was in Mugroba where all races received their style relatively well, and they even acquired some fans in Hox. Music historians would later say that the group, despite its iffy activities, was instrumental in the development of blooming musical styles.

The band was merely a cover for their real activity. Piracy. Every felony imaginable could be attributed to Angel and her crew. Pillaging, unsanctioned assassination, theft, piracy, smuggling, vandalism, and even slave trade to some degree were all on her repertoire. With her success, she proclaimed herself Pirate Queen, and reveled in the riches she gained. This was rebellion. Raised to be a well-mannered, stuffy politician, she decided the life wasn’t for her and rejected it to the extreme.

However, it would not last. As her real activities were exposed to the Anaxi government, they would release a warrant for her arrest, Wanted: Dead or Alive. During one of her musical tours through Anaxas, she was ambushed by two government airships while in transit. During the fight, she watched many of her crew die in front of her eyes. Taking a dagger between her teeth, she climbed up the rigging around the balloons. She'd show them why she was called 'Firehair'. Not caring whether she lived or died, she slashed a hole in the bubble, and with one last defiant glance at her enemy, she lit a match. All three airships went down with terrifying explosions that lit up the night, leveled trees, and shook the countryside. Later inspections from the government would account for all bodies but one: Angel Firehair.

She lives on in the people’s memories as an both an inspiring musician and a horrifying legend. For three years now, she has been missing. Some say she is merely hiding, recovering her strength, healing from the physical wounds, and rebuilding herself from the terrible backlash of her suicidal spell.

!!!Personality:

Her surface personality changes from time to time. Sometimes, calm and merciful, others, deranged and homicidal. A plethora of mental conditions make her unpredictable and overwhelmingly frightening. However, one sure thing can be said about her: calculating. No matter how she may act, she is always in control at some level in her psyche. Every thing she does has a purpose that will drive her unerringly forward toward her goals.

Angel enjoys being in control. She would rather work alone than be anyone’s subordinate, unless she saw an overwhelming need. Terribly sexist, she will often discriminate against genders and treat men like dirt. Males are just something for her to use, too stupid to realize the unimportance of their own lives. She knows how to use fear to her advantage and often employed it in her raids. Her reputation alone was often enough to send sailors and aeronauts to a corner crying.

She enjoys playing with fire. To her, fire represents power, and to play with it, is the greatest form of domination. But beneath the facade, she is merely paranoid and wounded. Her wild actions and fervent desire for power are just ways she reaches for security and comfort.

!!!Physical Description:

Her hair is a curly sea of bright orange-red, from which she acquired her name. Her eyes are Heterochromatic, her left being blue and her right, blood-red. This was not always so, she was born with matching blue eyes (see Bio). Because of her magic--though limited as it is--both irises are surrounded by a halo of golden yellow. She has the “Passive” symbol tattoo centered on the small of her back just at her waist-line. During her time as a “rock” star, she had this done to show her rebellious nature and abandonment of magic.

While not exceptionally endowed by any stretch of the imagination, Angel uses her clothing to enhance her feature. While she certainly has no interest in bedding any of the scum that call Old Rose their home, she’s not about to let them know that and will use every advantage she has to get her way.

Before the aeroship accident, she could often be seen wearing a bandana over the top of her head with a tricorne hat as a crown. She usually wore custom leather pants and black knee-length leather boots. Fingerless gloves protect her soft palms, and a white blouse covers her arms and chest with a leather basque over it for protection. To top it all off, she would wear a blood-stained admiral’s jacket she had looted from one of her victims. At times, she could also be seen wearing a red dress at formal occasions or when she was booked at a finer place for a music act.

complete heterochromia iridum - that is the actual term if one iris is completely different from the other. that's what Khy has too...but i gave it to her because i have it in real life. just seemed appropriate.

Central Heterochromia iridum - that is where you have a ring of colour around the center of your iris. so Angel has central and complete heterochromia iridum. whew! lol.

well... the central is because of the the whole yellow magic thing, and it's a very thin ring.

It does seem, though, that every character who has it has complete, though the most common in RL is central. Just an observation. I've never actually met someone with complete in person, though I've met a few with central, and one with sectoral (a patch of different color on each iris). His were interesting. As I recall, one was blue and brown, the other was green and brown. Something like that. Really pretty.

I thought sectoral was most common... I knew a girl with sectoral, she had green eyes with brown spots.

Well, I meant in human, and I was going from personal experience. And I've seen plenty of cats and dogs with complete. Huskys seem to have it a lot. Such pretty dogs. ^_^

i was actually under the impression sectoral was most common too but according to the wiki its the least common. weird yeh? my eyes are blue on the left and the right one is actually green up top, hazel at the bottom, but that is just to hard to write each time i describe khy, so i just gave her a blue eye and a green eye. lol.

cats and dogs i have seen a lot. did you know in most animals, they are blind? especially if its a white animal? i should go on jepordy. lol

That would stink. Animals tend to have problems when genetics do unique things to them. Like calico cats, how they're all either female or infertile. And how mules are all infertile. Genetics are fun. When you're not discussing them in biology. Or any sort of class room. ^^

I've heard that about white cats, and huskies do have complete heterochromia quite often.

Angel, not sure how I missed this but there's a problem with the sheet. Your character casts a Level 3 spell (Immolation). Characters aren't allowed to begin at Level 3, they must start at level 1. Did you want to revise that section or should I leave it out?

She can't actually cast it.
When she did that, she was trying to commit suicide by using a spell too powerful for her and pushed all her anger into it. She's been recovering from the backlash for the past three years.

I know everyone starts at level one, I just put it in for dramatic effect. But if it really bothers you, I can just change it to that she ignited the gases in the aeroship and blew everyone up.

I see what you mean. (also I meant to write Inferno...Immolation would also have the desired effect) The way it's written in the bio, it sounds like she succeeded. I don't believe that any Level 1 character would be able to cast that spell well enough to even create backlash, let alone survive the backlash. I think igniting the aeroship gases is a more plausible situation.

I have central heterochromia, my mum had a half brown eye.
I know they say central is rare but I see planty of people with it, perticularly if they have blue eyes like I do.

Works for me...we need more people over their 20s to fill out the age spectrum. I'm surprised there aren't any old men yet.
