Post (B26) Office Hours (LIT)
On the door to Harte's office was a wallpaper of fliers, some pinned right on top of older, out-of-date ones. "Games-Keeper" was just barely readable, through the cover of paper, and all of Harte's first name, and part of his second name, was hidden under a few pages that turned every time a professor or student walked by.

The door was cracked open, and to the side, attached to the frame, was a piece of paper that said "Knock if the door's closed." Evidently knocking wasn't necessary if he door was ajar, the way it was. A light was shining out from the inside.

Stephanus's desk was a large mahogany piece that looked old, the stain long faded from a rich red-brown to a light vanilla color. At its front was a ring of darkness - evidently some ornament had been removed recently.

To the left of the door, for someone coming in, was a large weapon rack full of well-kept spears and swords, with two ceremonial weapons acting as bookends to the others. They were all well-oiled and clean, the blades gleaming brightly under the flickering light of the desk lantern, but a close inspection would betray that only one blade was sharp. It was a simple gray saber with a framed hand guard, and though the blade was smooth and sharp, the entire weapon showed nicks and gouges of use.

On the other side of the door was a full set of Seventen patrolman's armor. Its condition was also excellent, though the same close inspection that could catch the dullness of most of the blades would be able to see that the suit was too tall and tight for the older man sitting behind the desk. Though it probably once fit him well.

The rest of the space of the office was occupied by bookcases befitting a professor, some of them looking miserable under the collective weight of their treasures. Some of the books were open on top of the case. Above the bookcases were framed spectragrams (Which showed a timeline of the development of the technology, since the oldest were already eighteen years old), medals, badges, and certificates. It wasn't meant to show off - the most impressive of the lot were on the wall Stephanus was facing, not the one a guest sitting in front of his desk would. A painting of Numbrey was the main fixture behind his desk, aside from the large open window.

His desk was covered with paperwork, but Stephanus had set it to the side to read a book for a short break which had started a few hours. The book was now open on his desk, covering most of the paperwork.

((This is the scene - or at least close to it - for Harte's office hours. These hours are six days a week, after dinner, between the second and seventh, and I don't mind anyone ever creating a thread to knock on the door or barge in. Quite the contrary, I look forward to it, as a teacher ought to!

Also, some time stuff, as a matter of reference:
Mornings of the Fives and Sevens, Stephanus has duty as proctor in the Cloister
Evenings of the Eights and Tens, Stephanus teaches a group fencing class on the Lawn, though it isn't always necessarily restricted to just that))

((Would you mind adding a timestamp? All thread titles should have one, ideally. Makes things easier to catalog in the archives. If you could do that, it'd be super! Thanks!))

((I'll label it with the first day of character was active, not that that really has any meaning in regards to the thread))

((I didn't think it really did, but it really helps me establish things in the archives. Merci, beaucoup, mon ami! ))
