Dear Diary,
This morning I was requisitioned by one of the students at Brunnhold to paint a portrait of themselves with their pet hingle. How I abhore these paintings. "Oh paint me, for I am almighty. And so is my rodent." Suffice to say, I will have to keep Shartruth out of the room when i paint. She loves those little critters...for lunch.

Today there is to be a hanging, and from what i hear, its not even a proper criminal they are hanging. Its an errand boy of somekind. Prime example the Galdori are whispering. Do they think they are going to teach the other races a lesson doing this? I myself believe the opposite. Especially if the rumors of these Freedom Fighters are true. I will attend today, along with Shartruth. Perhaps I can learn some more about the fighters, either that or at least be witness for this attrocity.

I hope to make time to do some study at the library this week. I feel it would be in my best interest to start learning those higher level spells. Who know's where I might be in the future?

Dear diary,

I met the most charming young man at the library. He is funny and friendly and doesn't seem to think i am impure. truly a delight to talk to, and talk we did! I didn't end up really learning much of anything, except I did reverse a level two spell. that was exciting. we have agreed to start studies once a week, he will help me with the practical and i will help with the theory. i am supposed to meet with him downstairs before i head back to Vienda, to sort out the time and days we will meet.

to be perfectly honest, i am rather fond of this Jasper fellow. I know he is eight years my junior, but he is so mature for his age. and i know plenty of galdori that have big age gaps. I remember mother's friend, old Mr Bruthgrave and his wife. she was 25 years younger! I hope I haven't read him wrong. i would hate to be imposing myself on him.

Dear Diary,

Jasper caught me leaving Brunnhold, and asked me if i would be at the Ball. He was very distraught. I do hope nothing to serious has happened. I cant wait for Clock's Eve.

I entered the seamstress's shop this morning before coming home to order a dress, poor Fion (her name is Fion diary), she seems to be utterly swamped! and i met Annie November and her assistant Scarlet Silverman in there. Everyone was talking and joking and they just treated me like, well, one of them. It was brillant. No hiding or feeling awkward. If only it was always like that...

Anyway diary, I must dash. Jewelry to find, hair to think about, makeup...shoes...oh my i have so much to do!
