 Viktor Mirko
Name/Title: Viktor Mirko Age: 22 Race: Human Place of Origin: Dorhaven
Back Story: Viktor Mirko was born a blacksmith. He was the youngest of three boys born to Kristof Mirko, a master blacksmith of Dorhaven. His father had no time for the wasteful past times of young boys and the Mirko Brothers apprenticed from the time they could walk. Viktor was no different and the toil caused him to be a serious and driven individual. The lumber driven economy of Dorhaven called for an endless supply of axes, saws, and drills for the mill. He led a simple life and had few worries until he got older.
His brothers had become masters like their father and opened their own smithy, Viktor was different. Though skilled, he grew complacent and bored. Viktor had ideas, dangerous ideas. He was known to speak out against things he felt were wrong, many times when he should hold his tongue. He and his father had many a battle over the dinner table over the state of the world and his place in it.
Vik had come across some literature while delivering axe heads to Old Rose Harbor that spoke out against the galdori rule and many of the ideas, though extremist made sense. His father refused to speak about such things and forbade their utterance in his house. Viktor knew his time at home was at an end.
With a mix of excitement and reluctance, Vik packed his few meager belongings. He was well known for his quality knives and short swords and he was sure to bring along the fine examples he’d crafted for this very occasion. It was the only work that lit a fire in his soul and drove him to create with passion. This was his goal, an end to the tediousness of saw crafting, weapons was his calling. A place where his ideas were shared and his weapons would be of use called to him. Old Rose Harbor was his destination.
Personality: Viktor is as tough as the steel he shapes. He knows what he believes and has a difficult time judging the best venues to voice those beliefs. Naturally he is careful with his more extremist ideas, but once he gets going there is no stopping him.
He is very passionate and caring and will go out of his way to help humans and wicks alike. More and more he distrusts the galdori.
Very direct and honest, his sense of humor has all but been driven from him by his father’s forge. Jokes will most often be met with a blank stare. Though hard and direct, Vik is extremely likable and gets on well with most folk.
Description: Viktor is a stocky fellow standing around 5'9" and heavily muscled from his years of smithing. He has very large, rough hands which display a multitude of scars and old burns. A mess of unruly dark hair sits atop his squarish shaped head. His nose is on the larger side and hooked. His eyes are large and greyish green in color. A nasty scar over his upper right lip takes some of the charm out his wide, toothy smile but adds an air of danger that he quite enjoys. He sports a black tattoo of crossed hammers on his chest.
He wears simple comfortable clothes. A light, grey button up shirt with rolled up sleeves, large brown trousers and big, clunky boots with steel toes on the outside. While smithing he wears a well worn leather apron.
On his hip he carries his large forge hammer in a leather loop that attaches to his thick belt. A simple but effective short sword is strapped across his back and a large knife at his hip.
Inventory:
Clothing: -A few changes of his grey shirts and black trousers -Hooded traveling cloak -Large, canvas pack with metal buckles -Smith apron -Large leather belt w/ several pouches attached -Various smithing tools (tongs, bellows, etc.)
Weapons: -Hand crafted short sword -Large knife -Forge hammer
Etc.: Resistance literature (well hidden)
Career: Blacksmith/aspiring Freedom Fighter -Skilled Blacksmith -Exceptionally strong -Good with talking to people -Competent with a short blade
Goals: Viktor wants to learn the art of weapon making and eventually have his own shop. The rebel in him wants to do his part for the resistance, what ever that may be. He intends to supply the Freedom Fighters with high quality weaponry when he improves his limited knowledge.
